Hey all,
This morning I've had several customers contact me from the US saying that even though they are watching my items, and could purchase them yesterday through the GSP they can no longer do this and all my other items that they are not watching are now no longer showing in the US.
To check this I've had somebody I know in the US check mine, and other UK sellers to see if its just me, but it seems its everybody! they can no longer purchase and the postage option is no longer showing.
Was the US Just turned off? or taken off the list?
Was there any news, or information on this?
This is a big hit to sales as eBay is used for global sales for us.
I know the UK was taken off the international program in the US for toys a few months ago, but i wonder if this is simliar?

It's unfortunate that I can't see your listings to see if there might be something else that could be triggering this (possible) glitch.

I use GSP
Just had a message from a buyer from the US saying that when they went to pay for an auction they were unable to with the reason giving seller does not ship to their location (United States).
Checked the listing in case I had made a mistake but it's showing all clear to USA.

It seems to have just stopped. I have checked with another Account in the US and all items do not show anymore.
My listing showed that USA was ok also, but wasn't showing there.
I have had to adjust the shipping to add US on the international shipping rates and they have all shown up again. but Global Shipping is 100% not working for USA any more, hopefully this is not permanent, and may be something to do with the Tariffs or Trade deal.

I don't know the answer, but there was at least one post on here (with several people agreeing) about how GSP prices to the USA [only] had suddenly gone up from e.g. £20 to £100.
I would guess they've switched off USA until they've fixed the postage issue. It could be that whatever shipping agreements they had, are now invalid/have been ended because of the tariff changes, or it could be some unknown other reason or random error.

This is discussed from a US buyers' perspective on the US discussion boards here:

The thought seems to be that items that have a country of origin of China (including Hong Kong) have now been pulled from the program due to the 145% tariffs being levied on them. I suspect that if the listings do not state a country of origin in the item specifics, they will likely be pulled as well as the GSP hub doesn't have anything to work with and this will cause a problem with US customs.

I spoke to an ebay agent on chat and they said there is a known technical issue with GSP and US sales -- that is being worked on apparently.
Going to give it 48hrs and if still not working will post the item by courier myself. Usually you can't send an invoice with GSP sales but currently I can send a new invoice out to the buyer.

Thanks I'll take a look at the link you posted.
I checked my item and I had it down as manufactured in USA. So it seems that this is a wider issue than items made in China or not disclosed.

Going to have to go through mine as well as sell quite a bit to the USA via GSP.

eBay continues to become even more broken...

To be fair, I don't think this one is *all* ebay's fault......... they appear to have been 'Trumped' in the stupid decisions game. 😈

The problem is that this just adds to the many tech issues that eBay has that are not being resolved - it's as if their tech department is on a shoestring budget.

I'm now thinking this is not a glitch but an attempt by eBay and the GSP to deal with the unpredictable and rapid changes the US administration administrator is wielding when it comes to tariffs.
The fact that some if not many sellers using the GSP don't include the item's country of manufacture/origin in the item specifics just complicates things further.

This is also going on in the business seller thread. I contact CS and they said it's a technical glitch they are working on resolving.
Then another poster also contacted CS and they said all shipping to the US is halted until they sort out the policy changes. (This is the story I believe)
Seems CS don't even know what's going on.

I sold 2 items via auction to a buyer in the US this evening both via GSP - but he just got an error message saying that I didn’t ship to his destination. Customer services said that the items (golf *bleep*) were ineligible for GSP & I had not option but to cancel the sales. In the end I relisted the items with a custom US postage option & the buyer was able to purchase that way. Never had a problem in the past and use GSP quite regularly- sort of glad it’s not just me though!

Same issue - buyer was ready to buy but GSP would not allow delivery to USA destination, I contacted ebay and they said they are aware of the issue this was 2 days ago still not fixed!

I wonder if its anything to do with the new tariff rates and they are having to change things ?
