Global Sale Issue

As I cannot find a HUMAN to talk to on here anymore I'm left with this, I've a Global Sale customer. I've sent the item. Got tracing number and and the depot has received it. But... I've now got a garbled mail from the buyer (who obviously does not speak English) saying Ebay has NOT informed him of any updates. I have tried to but the AI translator has told a load of rubbish something about daisies came back my end.

I CANNOT find any help number anymore for ebay. Their auto help is *bleep* and now I'm here, be quick. Give me a number to call please?

eBay Customer Service

Link for a call back although earlier in the day is better you'll get the irish call centre who have more chance of understanding your issue.

But if the sale is a global shipping or GSP as they call it your fine as you are protected for none deliver once it Arrives at the shipping centre,

If it is some other service the tacking may have changed hands so you will need to check the site of the shipper, don't rely on ebay tracking it is often delayed or never updates.

Re: Global Sale Issue

The beauty of the Global Shipping Programme is that all a seller has to do is to get the item to the UK shipping hub by a trackable method, thereafter any issues are their problem.

What's the estimated delivery date showing on the buyers order?

If its now past that, the buyer should open an eBay item not received claim in order to get a full refund from the GSP.

You don’t need to speak to CS. In fact in my experience it will probably make things worse if you do manage to.

If its arrived at the GSP depot it will take a few weeks (last year I had a buyer in the US who waited 5 weeks for the parcel to reach her after it was delivered to the shipping centre. It was a handbag. Another US buyer got their order in just under a week. That one was a magazine 🤷🏻‍♀️

I agree with the above, once the last delivery date has passed the buyer can claim INR, until then there’s nothing either of you can do. I’d stick with a very simple reply in English to tell the buyer this and then leave things to run their course until such time as you can, again in simple terms and only if they contact you again, advise them to open an item not received claim. IME its pointless getting bogged down in trying to communicate with buyers after one, maybe two simple polite replies asking them to open a relevant case.

Re: Global Sale Issue

Try contacting ebay via their X/twitter account through a direct message...i've always found them far more useful & helpful than the bots that you have to deal with on here.

Re: Global Sale Issue

Hi roberlarg-59, thanks for your post.

Just like they are saying above, if the item was delivered to the hub, and the tracking number confirms so, you're all good. However, if there is something else going for you, you can confirm the item number, and I'd be happy to look into it for you no problem.

Thank you,

Marco
