Funds pending – awaiting delivery but Buyer has paid and collected item...

I sold an item on Ebay which the buyer paid for and then collected yesterday. I subsequently noticed that they had requested delivery and DHL turned up to collect it. The order is now in limbo, marked 'paid' and 'dispatched'. How can we mark it as 'delivered' and release the funds?

If your buyer selected collection (which was an available option on your listing) they should have a 6 digit collection code which you should have been given before handing over your item to DHL. You input this code and then that proves that the seller has their item.

Without this code you may have to wait up to 21 days to receive your payment.

It seems there's a possible error here on their part if they selected 'delivery'. Did you book DHL?

Unknown to me the buyer had apparently selected 'delivery' when making payment, despite collecting the item yesterday. I was unaware that the buyer was supposed to supply a collection code (my fault).

I can accept a 30 day delay as long as I get the funds eventually. The system has obviously changed mightily since I sold my last item a couple of years' ago.

As the item won't show as delivered/collected payment should be released to you 14 days after date of order.
