Hi,
I've been using eBay for 24 years now and I have never had a 'Funds pending – awaiting delivery' show on any sale.
For some reason this has shown on three items I have sold over the past couple of days, when everything else I have sold over the past couple of months has been fine and payment has arrived as usual.
These are physical items, not digital, and I've been selling for 24 years, so why all of a sudden is this a thing?
thanks
Sam

I've had two items with delivered with positive feedback. As I write neither has been paid.

Ebay will pay you:
48 hours after tracking shows delivery
After 14 days if there is no tracking/tracking is not updated
And, by the end of February, (but not currently) 24 hours after you receive positive feedback - for items sold for under £10 only.

eBay need to stop all this nonsense with delayed payments and restore their payment system back to normal again.
People who sell via Buy-It-Now listings do this for the important reason that they want quick payment, otherwise they would be selling via auction format listings if they don't need the money ASAP.

Please can you stop trying to talk for other people. After a couple of experiment auctions in my field I realised the huge business sellers were fleecing me. I was selling BIN mainly to avoid those and so I had a better chance of getting what the item was worth.
So what you said, contextually, from my point of view, was a gigantic heap of *bleep*.
Keep that up and you'll probably get offered a position working for eBay CS.

Yes.
I find I get more for an item selling it BIN, provided I am not in a hurry. Auction gets a result quicker than BIN but usually at a lower price. BIN will only get a quick sale if it is priced very low. (I only sell at auction if I am for some reason unable to price an item (perhaps because it is flawed)).
Frankly, if you can't wait out an auction Ebay is not the place to be selling.

I'm not defending eBay. But I'm not going to let someone of inferior intellect speak for me either. & that post of yours I replied to proves exactly that.
I will speak for myself and every time I see someone try to speak on my behalf and I don't like it, I will pull them on it too.
How about this. You try to speak for yourself and leave others to do the same.
That way you may avoid becoming the second punch line to a joke, after eBay.

Don't take it personally.
I've never seen this person post anything positive about selling on eBay, yet here they are with their private collection of 10,000 door locks moaning on and on and on about how bad eBay is.
BTW if you think the current clustf**k is bad you should have been here when eBay started FVFs on postage.

10,000 door locks ? I wish !
If I had 10,000 door locks You wouldn't see my r's for dust on this site/forum ! - I would be joining Sr Richard Branson and starting my own Virgin Bay ! 😛
So please get real.
We're not here to slag each other off, just to voice Free Speech and express our honest feedback for eBay to read and take action to improve things.
I can see the ganging up because you guys don't like an honest truthful opinion that one size does not/cannot fit all.
Delayed payments might work for some people but for others it's now a pain in the r's.

Please don't insult my intelligence by replying to my posts

Remember the basis of the title of the thread “Funds pending - awaiting delivery” - in case anyone’s forgotten it?
Is the subject of the thread not vastly more important than what can now be seen as, in comparative terms, petty tit-for-tat rivalry?
I realise there are other similar threads but get this thread back onto its subject matter - and lose any superfluous conflict - otherwise the thread might well be closed down and that benefits nobody.
Delayed payments work for some people but for others it doesn’t.
It’s not the first time that’s ever happened on eBay, is it?

I thought the simple delivery was to easy secured delivery or am i wrong?.
Ebay have funds of mine which ok, i dont need it but its mine, ive worked hard for it.
I also have sent items tracked, delivered and feedback for days but no funds for them..dont know why.
I am just hanging on for short time just to see what happens but i wont wait forever for funds, i dont like the idea its not in my bank.

You say, they were tracked & delivered. Is that showing on eBay's system or on the courier site?
As I understand it it has to show on eBay 's. If it doesn't, they hold the funds upto 24 days.

'they hold the funds upto 24 days.'

Yup, didn't see that, supposed to be 14. Doubt I can edit it now though.
Thanks for pulling it up though. Wasn't trying to give bad advice.

I have actually sold something 😲
Posted this morning & although showing on RM website as dropped off, it's not showing as posted on Ebay's tracking page.
Ebay really should ensure their systems work if private sellers payments are going to held when they don't show delivered because their tracking isn't working.
Well I don't know if it was a blip, or just slow to process, but tracking has now updated on Ebay to show dropped off.

As an update, I've decided to suspend all selling pending clarification from Ebay's Customer Service on how it intends top resolve the 'delivery confirmed' problem. I can't afford the time to track every item I sell through the platform's labyrinthine processes. At the moment it's only a handful of items so it's manageable.
