Oh dear maybe not then - well at least I can move some money off the asking price and put it towards the postage increase.

I guess it depends on what the ebay seller discounted price is going to be. I tend to price the postage on my listings at RM list price and buy via ebay at a slight discount which covers the cost of the packaging/label.

I didn't know that the via eBay was cheaper - but I use online, which is also cheaper it will be £3.25 for small parcel. I often use the 48 and 24 tracked service for sales over £20, which will be £3.39 and £4.25.
If I do it all on Royal Mail I can also arrange collection, as I live out in the sticks and have to get someone to drive me to Post Office!
But with no eBay fees taken off the postage it will be a better deal for buyers!

Correct, someone earlier had confirmed selling something listed yesterday and sold this morning sold for 0% FVF.
Very first thing this morning, it just wasn't clear.

Does anyone know why Ebay is doing this? The loss of revenue must be considerable and the prospect of the site filling up with (more) junk beckons......

Wonder what's brought this drastic turn about from ebay then?...maybe they've realised that taking transaction fees from private sellers has been illegal all these years?..I dread to think how much cash they've taken off of us if that were so,lol...can hear the ads now..."did ebay illegally take transaction fees off of you? - contact us now,you could be owed thousands"......

'maybe they've realised that taking transaction fees from private sellers has been illegal all these years?.'
How do you work that out? Did you choose to use an online business platform and agree to the T's & C's?
In your reasoning, every auction house is breaking the law.
One of the most ridiculous posts I have seen on the boards.

So other than 'add ons' whatever selling price you achieve is what your account receives? Thanks

Though others have said you won't be charged on existing listings posted prior to October 1st the OCD in me would be closing all existing listings and relisting them all just to be on the safe side.

Probably more ads from now on(I hope they aren't moving towards a buyer pays fees model).

Truly no need, items sold when listed prior to 1st October will sell now for no seller fee. Vehicles excluded.
Any optional listing upgrades added, these are non refundable listing fees, those will need to be paid.

I believe there is thought / talk of introducing a ' buyer's fee' but no definite info of what and when, has been released yet. No confirmation, but no denial either!
Watch out for announcements.
