Evening all,
In my search for an old Series Landrover I have come across several much newer 90 and 110 models, with older registrations/VIN's.
I have contacted ebay to report them but they've not taken any action.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to go about getting them taken down and reported?
Thanks

Ebay won't be interested.

If they are being sold by businesses, you can get their name/address/telephone from their listings and try reporting them to the Trading Standards office for their area. Whether they're interested will partly depend on the value and partly on their workload but nothing ventured, nothing gained. If you can get other people to also report them, so much the better.
As roger above has said, ebay won't be interested - see the current thread about counterfeit goods.

You can also flag them up with Land Rover. eBay are interested in copyright infringement when the complaint comes from the rights' holder directly. And most rights' holders are interested in defending their own products.

Some have been businesses but they're mostly private seller, which does seem to make things much more difficult.

That certainly seems to be the case! Surely they have a responsibility to not sell fraudulent goods through their site, though 🤔

Wounder if the reason for using older Vin tags would put them in the classic car category, ie exempt from road tax, MOT and the ULEZ. Either way their still ringers.

I'm certain that's absolutely the case!
There's issues with tax and MOT fraud, and insurance. Imagine this in an RTC. Insurance wouldn't pay out.
