Hello all,
I want to share on of the worst experience with ebay customer service and make you aware .
Last week I have just changed my payout account to an business card.
e-Bay wasn't able to verify the bank which is TIDE and an red flag pop up through my Seller Dashboard .
I had decided to call customer service(about 3 times in a week ) and I have told them the issue and they had told me to ignore the red flag and only to wait for the penny test to come into account and tol be deducted after.
One week had passed and still that penny wasn't deducted .
I had decided to call them once again today and someone told me ,,Ohhh you know, you should provide extra information ,like an bank statement''.
I am just wondering why I haven't been told from 1st call and cut this waiting time ,now I am ending with plenty outstanding orders and no payouts available as apparently it takes up to 5 days for that bank statement to be verified.
Did any of you had this issue before or I am the only one stupid guy on the platform?
Thanks

Thats me in trouble then lol By choice i do not own a mobile. Want a mobile number? I just give Glyns or possibly my sons 🙂 I have had an issue even with that in the past because the phone is in Glyns name not mine.
Oh and we recently went to get some documentation verified by an independent solicitor. They would not do it without a photo driving licence or current passport. No other id was acceptable.
I just go so fed up of banging my head against a brick wall offering alternative proof that was not accepted.......hence why i just renewed my passport and problems solved.

Luckily I do have a passport and a non-smart mobile for emergencies. They won't be any good for proving I have a driving licence. Little by little we're all being forced to get them. Hopefully I'll be dead before they get around to removing cash and making it that everything has to be done using a smart-phone. But it won't be long in coming IMO.

A lot of places already refuse cash. For example on matchdays (local premiership team) you cannot even use cash to buy a burger outside the ground. Card or you go hungry 😞 I also think that Ubers do not accept cash? I think you have to pay up front before they come by card. My lad never ever carries any cash !

I'd take sandwiches to the match and don't use places that want 'card only'.
It's what I meant by saying that people just accept more restrictions without question. Perhaps eventually people will start to say NO. But if they don't do it soon, it will be too late.

Yes the same thing has just happened to me and us still ongoing. I changed my bank details to another account and I received a message saying I had to wait up to 48 hours for my account to be verified. I have now at the time of writing this waited patiently 48 hours and still haven't received access to my money. I have just rang them to be told that the whole process takes 6 to 8 working days for this process to be completed. I was asked to check my emails, I did this while I was still on the phone to the agent and the email says it tak s a few days. When I questioned that a few days is not 6 to 8 working days he started repeating himself explaining the process of the penny drop, I told him to stop reapeting himself and asked why the process isn't explained in more clarity instead of a generic few days and started reapeting himself again about the process procedure. At this point I demand a call to speak to a manager and have to wait a few days to do so. I'm furious, how can a massive company like eBay not be more specific on the waiting times.

IMO they haven't improved their verification process since these same problems were encountered during verification to be enrolled into Managed Payments.
And why should they. Ebay is now quite open about hanging onto private seller's funds as part of it's revenue raising Buyer Protection policy. The same applies to everything else. They longer they can hang onto any funds, the more ebay makes from them.

I am encountering this very same issue - I was verified (3 weeks ago) , and received funds 2 weeks ago, and now they want me to verify *again*. I did verification and the automated method failed (where it worked before).
I am considering cancelling all my sales, eBay will simply be holding my revenue, and could be for weeks (while I need to pay suppliers).
