Evri - What is going on?

Is anyone else having issues dropping off Evri parcels?

We have a local shop that takes them but hit and miss whether it is open as often there is a sign on the door which read "closed for 10 minutes" which turns out still closed in an hour.

We also have drop off lockers a couple of miles away which previous experience shows very unreliable as parcels either not picked up or get lost after being picked up.

The best place has been a fair drive but a BP garage which has always been reliable. My husband has just driven there to take some parcels to be advised they are not taking any more as there have been no drivers collecting parcels for days now and they are stacked high with parcels!

Evri - What is going on?

Please don't suffer in silence but be more proactive! You've chosen EVRI and your business depends upon them working well for you. The couriers are often understaffed, and their drivers are often overworked. From reading these boards you can see that courier drivers have many corner-cutting measures to help them meet difficult targets, so if you don't flag them up on it, they will keep putting your needs to the side... especially in November and early December.

BP garage - get the BP manager to complain to EVRI about lack of pick up. Also complain yourself to EVRI CS each time it happens. (And get manager's number so you can phone before making an unnecessary trip.)

Lockers - get the store Manager to complain to EVRI about overdue pick up. Also complain yourself to EVRI.

Local Shop - complain to the Shop's Head Office about unreasonably long unscheduled store closures. Complain to the Shop Manager that 'back in 10' signs need to have a start time on them. Complain to EVRI about extended closure of their service (EVRI are paying your local shop to run a concession, so they should care).

Yes, this all takes time but the idea is to train up your local drivers not to cut corners where it affects you. Or you could look into using a more consistently reliable courier for your area.

Evri - What is going on?

I know exactly what you are saying. I have spent over an hour this morning trying to make that very complaint on the online AI chat and on the phone to Evri and got absolutely nowhere. The AI chat EZRA is as much use as a chocolate fireguard. Fine if you want an update on tracking but you cannot get anywhere without a tracking number and even if you do put in a tracking number it tells you we haven't received the parcel yet please get in touch with the sender. Then you only get the option do you have another delivery issue or end conversation. I have tried typing in speak to human, not applicable but nothing works.

Same with the phone, you cannot get anywhere unless you put in a tracking number so put that in and you've guessed it, same message and then it disconnects you.

I found an email from a previous complaint where Evri answered me so fired off an email. Only then to get a reply saying "this email is not monitored" They really do NOT want you speaking to their staff.

My husband managed to drop it off at the shop which on this occasion did not have "closed for 5 mins" on the door and he too is absolutely swamped with parcels so obviously a huge issue in this area.

Edited to add, these are sales on my private account and also on another platform in which the buyer chooses Evri so no real choice. I could remove Evri but on eBay that would only leave Royal Mail whose prices are so much more expensive than Evri and could therefore limit sales.
