Evri Bristol

Be warned. Evri Bristol improved for a while by contracting e-bike couriers. They cancelled this contract to save money in exchange for Indians driving barely road legal hatchback bangers. Needless to say, I've not recieved any of the last almost 10 parcels. Regardless of the collection point I use or mu home address. I've miraculously tracked down one meant fir Argos in a Chinese nail salon and others in um-accessable gateways, letterboxes etc. Usually they are returned or just go missing. Sellers in China it will be simply discarded or stolen. Unfortunately not all listing's are accurate when they state Royal Mail delivery. Even after I've reminded sellers or asked them beforehand not to use Evri they've gone onto do so. I assume ebay have made it more difficult to select post options and incentivise Evri because they've done a deal with them. Please stop using Evri. They are a scam company. You are losing sales and giving customers needless stress by going for the cheapest option. It's cheap for a reason. Royal Mail also can get into apartment buildings. Please do better for buyers. Any buyers in Bristol especially, avoid Evri, they will not complete the delivery. There's even recent BBC articles about these scammers

Don't eBay have a vested (financial) interest in Evri?

You know the delivery drivers are either very confused or being given impossible targets when they do this. And in my experience, the worst employers are EVRI. (They used to be Hermes until they had their 'witness protection' moment and changed their name.) I used to have these nightmares with Yodel, who are a subsidiary of the same company.

I call it the 'dump and run'. Well done finding as many as you have! Usually there is very little actual delivery information available so it is quite a mystery. Forget about a delivery card.

Thrown over a stone wall in the middle of nowhere? Tick.

Delivered to a strange house a mile away? Tick.

Dumped outside a convention centre with 100s of people milling around? Tick.

Left at a random auto parts store in the nearest town? Tick.

Plus all the horrors you have experienced.

You're right to organize your carrier before purchasing. The trouble is that the named carrier often contract a different couriers for the end delivery portion (as you note). So it helps if you also get onto EVRI's customer service team and log every instance. Time consuming to start with but, fingers crossed, eventually saving you from the scavenger hunt for your parcels.
