We are hearing lots of feedback regarding how Ai and google will align in the near future.
In short there is going to be a big shift towards people using Chat GPT (and other AI bots) to help them make purchases.
We are being advised to help Ai by re-introducing FAQs on product pages, which will result in Ai handshaking with your content and therefore pushing your google ads up the ranks.
I was wondering if anyone had caught wind from Ebay recting to this and giving us a place on the listing template for FAQs?

This isn't an answer to your question, but one reseller made me smile. He uses eBay AI tools and Chat GBT to list, and now with AI Concierge services to help buyers, he can imagine we're headed to an eBay listings are automated and buying is automated - no personal touch anywhere.

Did you go to the Open event?
Not sure if the videos are up yet but on the how to save time or something similar named talk they mentioned this. Also if you went to the event you could have signed up to the new eBay AI then, staff are currently being trained on it now (well not on a Saturday) so expect top accounts like yourself to hear from people shortly if you have an account manager.

Oh dear. I just want to put my head in the sand & wish all this would just go away... 🙈

Hi @pegr-834437 @vanstyle_4x4style ,
I didn't go to the Open event, but i did read some of the reports of the US Open event (Not the Golf) . There was a guy from Google at the event and he was giving details of how best to get noticed by the AI bots. The reason I remember it was because Google think using "sell similar" to "refresh" your listings is bad in AI search terms.
To be fair the rest went over my head.

99.9% of the AI stuff goes over my head, just in this talk from my very basic take was that if the buyer asks a FAQ the AI will know and just reply for you so when you get asked do you take offers it'll automatically say no or fire back an offer of 10% off, thats my hope too as it would save so much wasted time on messages. Or the most annoying one do you have the tracking when its automatically uploaded into ebay.
The new eBay AI with open AI is going live too, again that is meant to just be able to gather all the data you request without you having to do the leg work with your account. I'm hoping they have AI for idiots classes as I should start taking them.

AI is for us though, because you can actually ask it to talk you through how to do the difficult stuff. I have had Copilot sorting my computer out rather than me googling and researching etc. I'm optimistic about Copilot being able to infiltrate my computer and do the whole job rather than having me do everything.
Although i did read a book once where the AI took control of the company. It locked everyone out of the building and fired the directors.... Can't remember the ending, but it sounds like a good plan for eBay and Government.
Seriously though, I need it to be able to use parcel tape.

I can’t imagine any scenario whereby I use AI to make a purchase. That would suck all the fun out of it for me. On a personal note, I hate AI although I know its here to stay (infiltrate) and in some areas it could be good (Im thinking medical here). It was included in some of my studies a few years back - learning about it rather than using it and much of it has limitations. I wouldn’t want to use it for selling either as Im a believer in the personal touch and when I tested it out of curiosity, it filled my screen with garbage I wouldn’t want to endorse.
That said, I am involved in training it as Im not adverse to earning money while training AI 🙂
