Wait for them to chase them for a month, learning every possible law in the Country, and sue them, then maybe next time they will consider this month worth to do something else, rather then be joked by them, so maybe they will stop using them as well. RM was never more expensive then them, and they had a free collection service, plus since they handle things with care and I see it everytime they deliver here, and I prefer to pay even more to avoid to replay again what I had to do that month.

Me, too. I took the habit to contact the seller and ask if it can deliver by RM. If they can't, I can't buy. I lost few good condition items because of that or they not posting at all, but if it would have arrived by Evri, it would have been damaged, so no loss in the end. All the item delivered by them couldn't survive, I am still trying to get rid of a storage case they delivered to me, RM delivered with just one damage item, because seller used to wrap it in clear foil instead of bubble wrap. I had to buy 3 bulky items, first one by RM is perfect, and the other 2 is with Evri (I tried twice to get RM again) and they are both damaged...

Same for me.

Why is there this assumption on the part of many on here, that just because we are private sellers we are incompetent? The packaging issue comes up often & really annoys me, & I'm sure I'm not alone.
Many of us actually take care when packaging the items we've sold. We want them to arrive in one piece, we don't want to disappoint those who buy from us.
i take a lot of care whrn packaging items; bubble wrap, extra cardboard, double boxing with strong boxes, yards of tape. I pay the extra if the packaging makes it too heavy. I think in 25 years aelling, in 2 countries, I have only once had to refund for an item damaged in transit, and that looked like it'd been sat on by an elephant.
Evri manage to either "lose" or damage every parcel that comes to our block of flats. Don't tar private sellets with the same brush.

Could it be the increase in parcels from ebay and simple delivery creating more parcels be causing the problem.
Got the popcorn ready and looking forward to watching corporate directors squirm.

According to Sky News, Evri's pre-tax profit almost doubled to nearly £120m in the financial year 2023-24, which was after American investment firm Apollo Global Management took ownership in 2022.

Remuneration in respect of the highest paid EVRi director, detailed in the recently lodged accounts, for the year ending March 2025, was £1,488,000, compared with £791,000 the previous year (p. 56). Yet, couriers struggle to even get national minimum wage. Disgrace. Inform your MP. Company Number 03900782.

Nothing will change. This country is now run for the sole benefit of the City, the Fatcats, and the corrupt.
More profit for Evri = "contributing to economic growth".

I have been having problems with the Evri app - it only works every other launch - so I went on the Apple App Store to see if any of the reviews mentioned it.
The app has a rating of 4.5 yet no matter how the reviews are sorted, apart from by most favourable, obviously, the reviews are not good. If sorted by most recent or most helpful, most of the highest sorted ratings are one star.
Anyway, on a personal level, maybe because I have complained like a Tasmanian Devil since our regular driver of four or five years moved on and our parcels have been delivered or dumped in every corner of our postcode as well as in unidentifiable locations 10 and 14 miles away (we never got one and the other we eventually received because a neighbour recognised my girlfriend's name on a Facebook post in a community group when some bewildered soul found her parcel outside their house), we have had the same driver for three whole deliveries! She told me that she has begged to keep the route but for some reason, Evri are trying to give it to somebody else.

I’ve just watched it on iPlayer, it’s not exactly a revelation. There’s a lot more information and evidence on here, Reddit and other SM platforms re stolen, damaged and bad practices with parcels.
And I can’t help but think that the incorrect parcel sizing on eBay and V has added to the misbanding of parcels. No mention of the solitary Claire in Evri CS who is one of the only ‘responders’ to emails.
Im always happy to receive by Evri but will never use them to send again.

"who refuses to go anywhere off the main roads"
One recalls all too vividly the entirely accurate reports from the villages of Coldingham and St Abbs in the Scottish Borders, where residents experienced a complete cessation of Evri deliveries for the whole fortnight leading up to Christmas last year.

Thank you for your post. Evri lost 2 of my parcels last week. Although they were not eBay parcel I am furious because: till a few months ago when I ordered something from. eBAy USA, it used to be delivered by Royal Mail. Then end of May 2025, noticed one eBay usa parcel arrived via Evri. In that instance delivery went fine. But I stopped and started thinking. That May parcel was a one off, I could pay vat at the check out and there were not duties to be paid. In the past I a have ordered from ebay.com some dolls which I collect which have attrected VAT & duties. I had no problems to pay any taxes and duties payable on my imports. My problem is that with Royal Mail is very transparent on the process and one can pay going to the local Royal Mail delivery office and pick up the item (done this many times, without any problem) Evri is different. I tried to inform myself googling on their site. Nothing. I tried to ask Ezra - the evri chat bot. Nothing. Besides on the net I read stories, horror stories of people in UK buying from ebay usa and, although they were more than willing to pay for the various duties and import taxes, realized, with horror on the tracking website of Evri that their parcel was on the way back to the States, as, alleggedly, they had refused duies and import taxes!!!
I tried to contact ebay.co.uk, raising the problem and explaining that virtually I am prevented from ordering from the USA because the items may be coming with Evri. And ebay uk customer service told me that basically it is like this, that I like it or not, as once that the usa seller posts my item to me, it is neither the seller or I to decide which courier will be deliver it here in UK. I think that is terrible. I hope Ebay uk WILL do something to stop evri behaving in this way. My hope is that they will be forcing whoever decide which courier to use once the American seller has posted the item to use Royal Mail, otherwise I will never be able to order again from ebay USA, thanks to this useless evri delivery company.

Watched this tonight & if this is true I cannot understand why Ebay would want to be associated with Evri, would be interesting to see what their reply to the Westminister could be and whether they will be investigated
15-12-2025 9:16 PM
Agreed.
How can eBay justify being associated with this obscene and ridiculous delivery service.
The programme highlighted profit before customer care. At times was reminiscent of the eBay experience during 2025.
