EBAY WILL NEVER PAY SELLERS !! UNLESS BUYERS SAY EVERYTHING IS OK - BUT HOW ?.

I have spent hours trying to find out why I am not being paid. I'd advise against going onto Ebay Complaint groups on Facebook as they , or at least some,seem to be mouth pieces for Ebay. I asked for help on one group and got to "get yourself a brain" !!.

Anyway Customer Services while easier to contact on Facebook say they do not have access to Ebay information !. All they could do was send me a link to the chat bot.

Latest information is Orders sent by tracked post,marked as delivered and positive feedback received is not proof of delivery. When an order is scanned as delivered that initiates an automatic process where "Funds available in Ebay Balance 19 Aug" or similar will show. But this is a theoretical statement based on a 2 day wait between delivery an payout.

UNLESS THE BUYER CONFIRMS NOT ONLY DELIVERY BUT THAT WAS THEY RECEIVED WAS AS DESCRIBED AND THEY ACCEPT THE ORDER THEN SELLERS WILL NOT BE PAID.

A sales income will show but it will never be available to withdraw unless buyers do this.

The customer services person I was trying to get answers from would not say how Buyers go about accepting an order.

On Vinted you only get paid once a buyer accepts an order.Like what is happening on Ebay now proof of delivery is not accepted as proof of delivery.But Vinted sent a message to buyers where they have to confirm everything is Ok and they are accepting the order.They can then leave feedback and the seller gets paid.

I have asked one buyer and they say they have not seen any messages like that and they cannot see anything where they have to confirm they accept the order.

I do not have the money to keep sending out orders and not get any income .

I have sent all my sales by either RM24 or RM48 even one order for a £4.50 hat cost £3.39 to post so I have the best chance of delivery confirmation but it makes no difference.

Does anyone know what is happening ?.

It's a part of the new rollout.

BPF (Buyer Protection Fund), delayed payments (what you're describing) and finally they will add Simple Delivery.

If your prices suddenly change soon (as in go up), that means BPF is now active for the area your item is listed in.

Getting paid requires proof of delivery or positive feedback from buyer.

If sent untracked, and/or buyer doesn’t leave feedback then eBay WILL send your money to you 14 days after the sale.

It’s the new policy for private sellers which I think it’s fair to say, no one is happy with.

But you will get your money, it just takes a little longer now ☹️

Nope. There is a major issue sellers are currently seeing. On the order page delivery is confirmed but on the account page the item hasn't even been logged as posted yet. I have two such items currently funds pending. Both confirmed delivered 7 days ago (both international (delivered to the recipient) . Also the ebay policy states categorically that funds are released on the arrival at the shipping hub but that's a separate issue.

I also have a parcelforce delivery from two days ago. According to the view tracking page it hasn't even been posted yet but if you click on the same tracker (on the same page) I provided the item has been received by the recipient.

I am seeing no progress in the resolution of this issue if indeed there is any desire to resolve it.

Not quite accurate for everyone, i posted two parcels 2nd class standard just using the certificate of posting tracking number.  Both posted on 7th (fri), one delivered on the 10th, money into my e bay account for withdrawal on the 12th.  The other one still awaiting delivery apparently, PO says as normal that tracking will only be updated when out for delivery.  However i have so far had nothing from the recipient to complain about non delivery so i have not got a clue whether it has arrived or not.    Posted three (same way) on the 17th two marked as delivered today, payment to go into my account on 21st.  Not getting the proverbial in a twist over the non registered delivery though.  It was the same before this, just means i am waiting for payment and if the person puts in a claim it just means that it will come out of my balance and not my bank account.

Wow, sorry to hear that. Even more annoying than the policy!

I’ve only sold 2 items on my private account since Jan 1st (both to UK) and only 1 of those was after the changes (Feb 5th) for which I’ve been paid today, well funds moved to withdrawable balance.

It took the full 14 days as item wasn’t tracked. No proof of delivery (stamp) and no feedback.

Maybe a question to raise via today’s online chat at 2pm then? perhaps it’s seller, area or category specific?

This is absolutely not true.

There is no mechanism on Ebay for buyers to indicate they have received their items.

Last week, I posted 3 items on Monday, all RM Tracked 48.  No buyers have left feedback.

Two were delivered on Wednesday - payment available on Friday. The third was delivered on Thursday - payment available Saturday.

Money withdrawn and instantly into my bank account on Saturday.

I've read all the announcements and messages from ebay in relation to the changes from the 4th Feb, but there is still some snags/issues with payouts which the above replies don't seem to address and I think some other users may be experiencing. For example,

I've received funds for items I sent RM Tracked 48hrs, 2days after delivery was confirmed by tracking - as should be the case/as advertised.

HOWEVER, for items I've sent RM 2nd Class Large Letter, purchased through ebay with the generic tracking number uploaded (which only confirms delivery if the postie scans it on arrival)...I have three items that have been scanned on delivery and marked on ebay/my orders page as 'delivered' and x1 'Funds available in ebay balance 15th Feb' and other x2 with same message for 16th Feb...but neither have appeared in my funds to withdraw, with my balance still showing as £0.00, but I can see funds 'still pending' in my account! So either the 2-day post tracked delivery 'funds released' rule only applies to TRACKED services (RM24/48 etc) and not other forms of tracking delivery, or the system isn't working.

On top of this, last week I processed a refund for a buyer for (combined postage) about 10mins after they purchased and noticed the refund came out of my 'available funds' instead of 'pending funds', so i no longer keep any £ in my ebay balance and immediately withdraw it, as ebay should deduct the refund from the pending funds on the sale/order they are holding back. Because of this I now withdraw all my £ when its immediately available rather than allow ebay to hold it for longer than necessary and accrue even more interest for themselves!

This means I'm no longer buying items on ebay as a result (from either business or private sellers) and doubt I'll continue selling my unwanted items once my remaining items sell and once funds eventually become available I'll withdraw them, all due to this fiasco.

Yes, it’s certainly very poorly thought out, seems very unfair and completely unnecessary and that’s when it’s working correctly!

I’m seeing more and more posts now where users are not able to access funds even with a delivery scan and positive feedback.

I know that's difficult to accept, I used to find it hard to believe too.

I find it ridiculous that the representatives of a global mega tech company just cheerfully spout any old garbage down the phone .

They do this in order :  to say what you want to hear (so that when you fill in the 'how did we do' questionaire you may be given at the end, you will tick the Very Good box. )

Or, because they want you off the phone as fast as possible, so they can meet their 'how many calls answered in certain length of time' targets.

Or they just straight don't know the answer and can't be bothered (or aren't allowed) to go and find out the truth.

I've always been gobsmacked that this is, apparently, allowed, and has been going on for years......
