EBAY UK seemingly completely broken from the 22nd June 2025

We have been selling on Ebay successfully for four years without to much issue. The most 'non-sale' days we have ever had in a row in four years has been two consecutive days, sales happening pretty much regularly, and daily, even if it's just one or two.

This week, since Sunday the 22nd we are now on our 4th consecutive 'non sale' day, with no less than 10-12 price offers having been sent every day in this time, but none taken up (very rare indeed). These four days have just come off the back of 36 consecutive days of sales. Just those stats alone clearly point to something being VERY wrong with the UK Ebay system this week, yet the usual support line of 'it's just a phase, things will pick up' is being given (I guess we shouldn't expect to much else given they work to a script).

Bottom line, last week (16th - 21st June) was the worst week's selling since January 2021, and is now clearly about to be surpassed by what is shaping up to be potentually a non sale week!!!

I've also spoken to no less than three other people we know who are in EXACTLY the same boat here in the UK this week, sales, sales, sales, and all of a sudden this week, not a single sale since Sunday.

Don't get me wrong, we're used to the '15th of the month drop off', a date / week where we can only summise Ebay make any system and interface changes as it happens every single month, and has done for four years running. But come on Eaby, please just admit this time that you have clearly changed something here in the UK this week that is impacting the buyers ability to take up offers and indeed, it seems, BUY, and have clearly made a major mistake in what it is you've changed in the depths of the system as a whole!!!

Yes, you're not the only Seller experiencing this. And the economic slowdown doesn't help the situation. And if items have low demand there is nothing you can do to magic up Buyers who aren't there, except maybe add International sales to your listings to increase the buyer pool.

The items in your inventory that I looked at have a slow sell thru rate (23 active, 1 sold in the last three months) and the sales were going to Sellers charging half your price, or less.

You have a lot of inventory and when sales are slow is a good chance to improve things. I notice you are listing new items regularly which will help. Also you might take a look and why things are not be selling.

Since you say that the photos are the condition description, why not start there? The quality of your photos vary wildly, maybe you could standardize them as some are very professional but some are not. For example a pic of a photograph with shadow line halfway down it makes it difficult to make out that 'condition description'.  Perhaps you could improve your lighting? White background is great, but flat white is better than a drop cloth, which looks like a rumpled bed sheet to Buyers.

The most recent eBay UK major change is to bring in Simple Delivery for Private Sellers. You could go back to how you preferred it by switching to a Business Account and choosing your own Custom Postage. If you choose to keep your Private Seller standing, then you could lower postage by using Royal Mail 2nd Class Large Letter for items under 100g and £10 or under... this is only £1.55 which is more attractive to Buyers.

Good luck selling! I hope July was better than June.

Well, no compasion here at all for you, sorry. Almost 6k items sold, around 800 listed right now and using 'us' to describe as a seller. So much for being private.
