EBAY PAYMENTS TO SELLERS CHANGE FROM FEBRUARY.

It's a downright cheek. This can only benefit Ebay who can hang on to a sellers funds for up to 14 days - earning interest as I'm sure they will.  I have logded a complaint by telephone and can only urge all sellers and buyers alike to do the same.  This will not benefit sellers or buyers in any way at all - I'd like to hear from Ebay as to what benefits there are for either side from this change. For a small seller selling up 50 items what if he doesn't have the money in his account to cover in excess of £100 in postage until Ebay sees fit to pass the money on. For the buyers they will end up paying more for shipping as sellers insist on mailing recorded, registered or tracked to hasten the turnaround on payments. It's hard enough getting feedback - are we to assume buyers will contact Ebay to confirm reciept so as to free up funds? Not only is it greedy it's badly thought out.  Mass resistence is urged or Ebay will walk all over sellers and buyers alike.

Nope, buyers contacting eBay to say items received,  or feedback left,  will not release payouts for sellers any quicker.

Only tracking showing delivery will do that,  then money from the sale is released 2 days after delivery is proved.

Just when one thinks about expanding one is hit with this; it's a big slapdown imposed by the virtual landlord. This will increase prices across the board, especially for smaller items that do not normally require tracking. So sales will decrease as demand takes a hit.

I believe ebay (the 'virtual landlord") are hoping that you will take your fledgling plant/seedling business to an actual business account footing.

Business accounts do not have to abide by 'the new rules', the new payment 'holds' or the (eventually compulsory) new Simple Delivery.

I am aware ebay have never made it totally obvious that running as a business on a private account was a no-no, but this is their way of doing that... 🙁

It's simple don't buy anything on eBay don't use your eBay balance to buy anything on eBay after all there's nothing you can't get somewhere else.i used to buy here I simply won't anymore.if everyone did that it will hit their balance sheet which is the only thing they care about it Will be far more effective than complaining as well
