Sold a phone case for £20. Buyer left positive feedback.
2 weeks later got a message and a picture that case is broken in the corner. They either want a replacement or a full refund. What happens when buyer is at fault? I suppose they will eventually open a item not as described case and I will have to refund in full.
No point in them sending it back.

You are correct , if they do open a case for item not as described, because cases are all automatic you would need to fully refund, but you could then try and appeal the decision for a refund.
Not gonna lie, it's not easy , but worth a shot.
This explains the appeal process.

One for your blocked bidder list I would think:

If the item in question was "Genuine Google Pixel 7a Case Official Google SEA (Blue) GA04322 - NEW" then it is over a month since the sale was made and no case can be opened through eBay as far as I am aware.

The date will be from delivery I believe but yes, can't be long now?
And unless it is a very genuine sounding situation I always have the item back as it stops chancers.
