Booking a collection

So I've refused to use Simple Delivery up till now but I noticed there is a Royal Mail collection service so I am going to try that. The software looks poor though - I have booked a collection for tomorrow but nothing really updates to show that it has all gone through. I guess I will have to hope for the best but it looks really shoddy, with options still available to print labels showing etc. Has anyone used the collectiin service and did it get picked up?

I've used it for everything I've sold since the coming of Simple Delivery with no problems.

Did you get a confirmation e-mail for the collection from Royal Mail?  There's a bit of  a gotcha as you can think the collection has been booked but it hasn't as you also have to open the label even though you won't be doing anything with it.  At that point the RM e-mail will arrive.

Did you pay an extra fee to use the collection? if not let us know if actually collected. I used ebays 'form' including RM providing label selected. Booked collection..no collection no label. Redid, printing label but had to pay collection fee not offered on first attempt. 2nd attempt worked.
