Sent a parcel 2 weeks ago and weighed it 1.65 kilos put in the dimensions and today received an over charge as they say parcel was 2.700 kgs. Due to actually keying in the exact postage weight and dimensions I didnt take any photographs (like I normally do if they are near the 1 kg mark) just paid the extra for 1-2 kgs weight. Dont have a leg to stand on with no photographic proof. This is happening too often and my scales are not 1 kilo + out or all my usual parcels wouldnt even weigh 100grammes!! P'd off to say the least. Rant over.

There was a recent post from another Seller who also has this as a regular experience with EVRI. Her solution is what you suggest, photographic evidence of every parcel weight. Then she can raise the issue for a refund with EVRI Customer Service.
My personal solution is to avoid using them.

Reprint the label.
Stick it on a box.
Stick the box on scales.
Put stuff in to make 1.65kg.
Take a photo.

It might be an overreaction for such a small amount but after following their normal customer service complaint process you could always take them to the small claims court to see how good their evidence is. In the past just the suggestion that I might start such proceedings has caused a customer service escalation to get things resolved. It's Evri who are levying the charge so the onus would be on them to provide the evidence (eg photo of item being weighed in their warehouse with label clearly visible) including any processes they might have for regular calibration of their weighing equipment and detection and/or mitigating controls for when it is malfunctioning. Until someone holds them to account then it will keep happening.
