Active listing not showing in search even when using exact item number

Hi all, I’m after some advice hopefully, some of my new listings that are showing as active in my eBay are not showing at all in search even if you search for the item number it just says no item found. I have listed items in other categories that are showing in search fine. The items that are not showing up have not been hidden by eBay or anything but it’s like they just don’t exist 

the category they are not showing up in is jewellery and watches and the category that is fine is clothing 

I have 1000 plus feed back, been a member on this account for 20 years and have sold many items in this category before

I also cannot see any jewellery / watches on your items for sale only jeans.

When did you list the items?  The site is extremely busy at this time of year and it can take 48 hours for your items to show.

Are they showing in Active Listing?  Then,  all is well,  they will eventually appear,  but do not revise them, or end and relist them,  this will send them to the back of the queue for being indexed before listing.

Same here - just jeans.

Is it possible some required attributes are missing?

I agree with you as i appear to have a similar  issue in the jewellery category.........recently items are getting little or no exposure.

My items used to be live and up and running within a few mintures

Very strange, I will have to wait and see. Wasn’t sure if it was due to eBay thinking there was a violation / issue of some sort so blocking the listing. Thanks for the reply’s

not sure which item number youre referring to but as you only have 11 listings Ive just copy and pasted each of your item numbers into the search bar and all came up - If they are very new it can take 24-48hrs to show in the searches

your main issues are as follows:

1) Youre in a competative category at the busiest time of the year competing with businesses who are paying promotions - Youre a private seller so you are not going to get seen on the first pages

2) Your titles are very short eg Levi’s 511 Slim Fit W34 L32 - If I put in that specific title you are on page 1 but is that what a buyer would search by? - No mention of the word Jeans/denim/mens/dark blue/faded etc you are limiting yourself to those specific words  eventhough you have selected the "jeans" category but your description also dont mention any words that a buyer may search by - This is all picked up by the algorithms now.

The levis are the ones that are OK.

I have 13 items showing as active, 2 non clothing which do not show in any search even when searching for the exact item number

One watch is showing for me now in your listings.

I think it is what I mentioned in my post above,  the site is very busy,  and it can take 48 hours maybe even longer at this time of year for items to show.  Even for those listed at the same time,  they can appear at different times

If they're showing in your ' Active Listing'  all is well!

2.11pm and i just looked at their listings.     I can still only see just jeans..no watch or anything else.

I am not a conspiracy theorist BUT this supports my argument that for reasons only known to them Ebay only show items in certain parts of the country and not others.   We are Tressygirl obv several hundred miles apart.

Weird as it wasnt showing for me yesterday (only the 11 listings for Jeans) but now it is - How odd that some of use can see it and some cant 🙄 I know they say upto 48hrs but for visability but I wouldnt of thought it would be a gradual visability for different people

Today I can see 12 live listings - 10 for jeans and two listings for watches. 

If I do a live search for 'SKX Divers MOD Watch' then yours is appearing in that search.
