Hi Everyone,
I’m posting here because my seller account Connect HQ was recently suspended, and I’m honestly struggling with the situation. I’ve spent a long time building this account, listing items carefully, fulfilling every order on time, and resolving any return or buyer issue as quickly as possible. I’ve always tried to follow eBay’s policies and maintain a good reputation with my customers.
Despite that, my account was suspended suddenly, and the reason provided was very broad. I’ve already submitted appeals and shared everything eBay requested, but I haven’t received a clear explanation or a proper review. It’s been extremely stressful because this account is something I’ve worked hard to build, and losing it feels like losing months of effort and dedication.
I want to be clear, I’m not here to argue or blame anyone. I fully respect eBay’s rules, and if I’ve made a mistake anywhere, I’m more than willing to correct it immediately. All I’m hoping for is a fair second look at my case and some guidance on what went wrong so I can fix it.
I kindly ask eBay’s team or any moderators here to please help review my account again. Any support or direction from the community would mean a lot right now.
Thank you for taking the time to read this.

What reason was given? Does the message you received state "MC011" in the title and/or have eBay stated it is a "permanent selling restriction"?

What is the 'broad' reason given by eBay?
Could it be because you're adding follow up comments to feedback received from buyers asking them to get in touch? A bot may have picked that up.

Hi, yes It was MC011. They said my account is linked to some other accounts. While I can assure that I never had or have any account before. I have registered a brand new business and an account. I have never been a part of ebay before or collaborated with any seller. This is an absolute incorrect reason while I have had 100% positive reviews and no issues in my account.

Hi vyolla
Thank you for your comment but I have 100% positive reviews and no open cases at all. All of my buyers are happy with the purchases and got their item within the time frame .

As members like yourself we are not privy to your account details or to any messages sent or received to eBay.
However, if the words indefinite or permanent appear anywhere on any message, I'm very sorry but it's bad news, that is a lifetime ban, and we've never heard of any comeback from that restriction / ban.
No point contacting CS, as they do not explain or go into any details of the restriction, and will only advise you to go back to any eBay messages.

Hi thank you for your comment. What about if the reason is absolutely incorrect and wrong. I have never had any account which they are associating. It seems like automatic linkage which I have nothing to do it. I have never been a part of ebay before. This is my first account with 100% feedback and no issues within the account .

You can try CS for a further explanation but from previous posters with similar experiences no further explanation is given, CS will not discuss the matter.
It's suggested there's a linked account, could someone, friend or family member have used your laptop / device at any time to log into their account? If they had any restriction this would immediately be linked to your account.
It's been mentioned here you have been leaving follow up messages to buyers feedback asking them to ' get in touch'. If so, this could be seen as proffering future off eBay sales, and this may, just may be the cause?

eBay have "linked" your account to another one that at some point has been restricted due to something such as owing money to eBay or committing severe policy violations. It doesn't mean you did anything wrong - it could have been a family member, a friend you haven't seen for 20 years or even your neighbour's goldfish who once accessed eBay by connecting to your WiFi.
What you can do is request a copy of your personal details by submitting a subject access request (SAR) - details here. You can then request eBay corrects any incorrect information they hold about you or you can request eBay delete your personal data entirely from here. eBay will not be able to share the other party's details (including their eBay user ID) with you due to the GDPR/Data Protection Act. This may or may not be of any help in getting your account unrestricted but at least you will find out what information eBay is holding about you.

It's quite a good article which might throw some light on to the time it takes and the possible reasons for it. Whatever the email says, it is unlikey to have been reviewed by a human and the reasons given are just the best fit AI could use.

One thing that is odd about your account is that you have no accurate description rating. AI might take that as a zero rating.

Hello,
Check with Gov.UK - Companies House, to see if they have all your relevant details on record, they may be waiting for example an ID. Also check eBay has all your up to date business details

That article is intended for an MC011 restriction that was caused by the seller's own actions. It also gives some pretty poor advice such as: "We advise against using stealth accounts. Instead, explore legal options such as opening accounts under family members’ names." Doing that without said family member's permission is illegal and only a fool would allow someone else to open an account with a financial service provider under their own name; especially when the reason the person is asking is because they had already gotten themselves into trouble.
The article even states "We advise against using stealth accounts" then links to their own article on how to do exactly that despite the practice itself being grounds for a permanent restriction.

@4_bathrooms there is more than one paragraph to the article! Everything can be picked apart by someone if that's what they are intent on doing. The article explains the situation, I never said anything other than that it "might throw some light on to the time it takes and the possible reasons for it". I never said it will be a way to solve it or recommended anything! I still think it explains the possible issues well. No need to respond, your negativity make me want to eat cakes.

You say you've spent a long time building this account, but your feedback page shows it was set up in September of this year and is less than 4 months old. From your feedback you've been selling high priced mobile phones which are considered a high risk area for scamming. From your last month of feedback sales have exceeded £10,000. Being a new account your activities may have attracted the attention of ebay's security bots. Did the reason for the suspension involve site security?
