£2.70 simply delivery

Newbie to eBay. I'm not sure if I've made a mistake or not. I've recently started selling 2nd hand DVDs. Mostly for £2.00 a dvd. But for it to be delivered (tracked) it's costing the buyer £2.70 😱 Is this the cheapest tracked delivery available? I really feel sorry for the buyer. And it doesn't make sense for me to cover the postage to allow "free delivery" I'm going to give it a month or so and see how things go, but I have a feeling I'm not going to sell many dvds with that cost for postage. Unless any kind person can advise me of any other tracked delivery that's cheaper.

That is the cheapest. But there is a workaround with Royal Mail.

If you can keep it Large Letter size but increase the weight to 250g - 449g then the cost for LL 2nd Class is £2. This comes with an automatic Reference Number. This number is an internal RM tracking number that can be used in the eBay system and on the RM website. (eBay also has access to RM's internal system so they can see more details than us mere mortals.) It is scanned at point of posting, and again when delivered and comes with free £20 cover.

The £2.70 they are charging is for the large letter, up to 2kgs.
