lamp in the shape of a violin

Hello Can anyone help me identify this lamp I can't find a mark on it other then what looks like a B on the back please see pictures any help would be great Kevin

Was the vase made like this or has it been converted into a vase?  I noticed that one of the figures appears to be mising a thumb? I would of normally said that a B is for Beswick, but it's so unlike their normal style.

Hello Thank you for your reply but this is not a vase It stands 28" high and the base is open with a hole for the cable to pass through so it was made as a lamp I have tried to add a picture of what i think is the letter B on the back regards Kevin

Apologies Kevin, my last post was a tad mixed up :/.  Yes, it certainly looks like a 'B', do you think that there appears to be possibly an 'o' as well. or could both be purely illusional parts of piece?

Personally i think that the piece has an Italian look to it, what's your opinion?  Do you know what it's made of?

I would love to know about this lamp, it's a lovely piece!
