Hi Dave, if you are going to sell, there is probably not much point in doing anything. Is that visible glue repair the main problem? you could perhaps clean off some of the residue if it is very messy, but In my opinion (possibly I'm not typical though!) something like that is a good sign in a way because it is quite a good indication that there isn't any hidden restoration. Do look at them really closely and give them a good wash if dirty. I've had some pieces arrive disgustingly filthy and full of dead flies - not pleasant at all! They were made to be washable!

Thanks Jes , I wasn't going to even wash them until I got some advice from someone like your good self !

The dust inside them is quite mighty ! I checked for old notes etc of course !

Will certainly wash them now (obviously not straight into hot water ) I will see if some of the old glue will lift off a little , it's like araldite kind of stuff so not sure but most isn't anywhere near the damage , thankfully they look well from the front !

I love them but my wife hasn't our taste 😞 so will be selling in a few weeks

Good to see you back on here again and am very grateful !

Best regards , Dave.
