Posting special delivery 1pm item costs £9.75 in this country. Ebay put a cap on that particular label and allows me to charge a buyer only £9.50. The fee of £9.50 includes any packaging or other costs incurred. When I contacted Ebay to explain the actual Royal Mail charges they refused to change the cap. Ebay apparently wants to keep the postage costs competitive among the sellers. I was encouraged by the rep to add the extra cost of posting to the cost of the item sold.
