hello every one I have read the new postage simple delivery for small private sellers like me and I am very concerned its going to be ebay who decides what courier they think I should use, and even more concerned the buyer will choose .this is hermes evri the worst couriers I have never known, I am selling my antique dolls and send them the quickest and safe with my choosen courier .fully insured and next day delivery which I have done with my items for over 17 yrs. I charge my buyers a set amount but if my box and packing goes over I pay the extra for peace of mind. and the thought of them being sent via hermes evri scares me and I would not trust them with a teddy bear, ebay must let me choose my own courier but I am told I have no choice, antiques no matter what must be sent in a manner they deserve and the simple delivery is not . simple delivery is just that for clothes shoes and not breakable .not for antiques and items of great value, I have had my dolls for over 50 years and simple delivery is not going to happen, I do not want to leave ebay but I will take my antiques some where else, so many great sellers have gone, but ebay does not take the time to ask why. ebay must look after the private sellers like me but I doubt it .the big boys are more important,

That sounds like your chosing the wrong size parcel or not amending what ebay “think” you’re going to send

I'm guessing over 1kg or small parcel size? Frankly we only use RM48 for very specific items. Usually more delicate things due to the fact getting compensation out of them isn't as hard as Evri. I highly recommend Yodel Direct and as much as it pains me Evri can be useful due to their 245cm total rule meaning you can send larger parcels than YD. Here is a 10% off code for Yodel that I've been using for a year now - YDLSTF10

pack link have added the insurance on I sent most small parcels with the
old Royal Mail tracked but eBay Evri and RM have changed. No pick ups .this
is absolutely disgusting what they are doing to us small sellers
We all know how much postage costs but we are being robbed blind by eBay.
EBay has done a cut deal with the devil .has eBay informed us the track 48
has gone up to £5.15 no they have not. That’s £1.20 more the buyers have
to pay and the 4% buyers protection on top on cost of items purchased
I as a buyer today purchased 4 things and I was charged £15 buyers
protection .thats a blooming rip off how much does this insurance cost .I
can insure my life for less per day.
A small fee of £3.50 would cover me but the problem is I am not a seller
from hell it’s eBay’s job to take care of us they get plenty of money off
us. Why have they turned on us small sellers like this.
What eBay needs to do is send every buyer a email stating the changes what
they are being ripped off for as no amounts are mentioned at check out no
surprises they say .but not every buyer knows about this .this is shameful
disgusting and blooming unfair and eBay controlling sellers with postage
surprises is just as bad

not turn up no payment. All my parcels are sent via RM or parcel-force and
collection but now no collections and no PF .I can not and will not use
Evri past name Hermes.
Does eBay believe Evri will not let them down if that is the case they live
in cloud cuckoo land
And as for sellers if not delivered no monies forth coming
Out of all the couriers eBay must have a super deal with Evri the worst
courier that was ever known

You have to pack it like Fort Knox with evri
but even then they can’t be trusted to not lose or damage it
Royal Mail is best as you say but I don’t believe their tracked 48 for small parcel is 5.15 for a small parcel, it just CANT BE

raised by eBay with insurance to £5.15 and as the buyer chose the label .
You are right about Evri delivered items broke or chucked over the wall the
good stuff lost.
I still can not believe eBay’s choice of couriers is Evri and basic RM
topped up by pack link as everything must be tracked no INR but when it
arrives it’s only then the seller gets paid for it
It’s going to be hell dealing with Evri as they have no phone and S——
customer services

Must admit I’m a little confused but it will all come out in the wash
ebay shouldn’t be charging a penny more with so called special delivery (don’t know what’s special about it) with than it costs to buy online

EBay are like the sad Tescos and morrisons and Asda labels that say ALDI PRICE MATCH
they copied vinted because they were losing millions
well dears you got something wrong in the first place to lose
wonder what it was
time later eBay try their models onto its own
big fail

link then the buyer sends are labels .that does not sit with me at all when
I have done my own for years
The concern with that is not all buyers know the postage unless they have
sold as well. EBay said they will help the buyer with the labels and they
have a choice in options

I have in the past tried Ebay label and yes if it's tracked you can go into the RM site and book collection, but RM collect all mine including letters and large letter when i buy direct.
