postage!!!

Hi, I am a seller and my postage is freepost, postage costs me £1.55, eBay simple delivery is charging me £2.72!  i will loose money, is there a way around simple delivery please? I'm at a lose! Thank you.

Can i not just put postage stamps on and post in post box?

Hy would you do that? No proof of posting and DEFINITELY no proof of delivery. If you're happy to wait 14-30 days for your money from eBay due to no delivery proof then it's a great idea.

I've always just popped in post box never had any problems, the contents is not of great value. Plus i have to go miles to post office to get it scanned!

If you upgrade to a business account (which you should be) then you can still offer the free postage and not deal with simply delivery, you will also then give your customers their full rights and you will not be breaking the law.
