Why is Royal Mail Tracked 48 more expensive than Tracked 24?

Just in the process of selling a few items and when I get to the section where you set postage, I can see that Royal Mail Tracked 48 is priced at £5.15 whereas Tracked 24 is £4.25. This is for a small parcel.

Surely Tracked 48 should only be £3.39 and not £5.15?

Should be but eBay is charging £5.15 for a small parcel. I’ve just done 2 listings one for 1250g and one for 150g both were  £5.15 for Royal Mail 48 tracked.

Just realised what’s happened, parcel size has gone to cabin luggage size as default, even though measurements are for small parcel in item specifics. Just have to switch to shoe box size and then the right Royal Mail price comes up.

Go direct to the Royal Mail website , much better prices  . Plus if something happens to your parcel , you have to go through Packlink (because that's who you bought the label from ) .... much easier on Royal Mail .

Simple Delivery is being rolled out to all Private sellers so you will have to buy the postage from eBay only.  If you buy your own tracking may not be possible to add,  then there's a 14 day wait for your payout.

SD was meant to be mandatory from yesterday,  but some are still seeing,  and being able to use Custom Postage.  However,  eBay also announced existing listings will automatically be changed over to SD.

There's no escaping it !

Small correction to that SD is paid by the buyer not the seller, unless the seller offers free postage then in that case the seller will pay.
