Verify age every time I buy sharp item?

I understand the neesd to verify age for sharp items, but why do I need to it every time I buy a chisel?

Surly I need to do it once per account?

Unfortunately it's eBay's overreaction to having to prove you are over the age of eighteen in order to purchase items that they feel could be used as weapons if they were to fall into the wrong hands.  They don't seem to be content with people providing the required proof of their age on a one-off basis and then keeping that information on file so as to prevent any problems with further purchases, so in view of that perhaps it would be easier to just buy the item off of Amazon.  Alternatively it may be easier to buy the item from a High Street DIY store such as B&Q or Wickes.  At least that way you wouldn't have to prove your age every time you wanted to buy a chisel, unless you're lucky enough to be over the age of eighteen, yet you still look young enough to convince people that you haven't yet reached your eighteenth birthday!

They really need to get their act together, there are so many everyday items that can be used as a weapon, and the need to verify every time is dumb.

Unfortunately buying off other platforms not possible as the chisels I wanted were used and an auction.

Only found the deal with couple of minutes to, by the time I verified it was over and I missed a good deal.

I sell samurai sword keyrings they now have to be age verified

Now I can’t sell any at all. Seen others with no verification on.
