I aim not to buy brand new products on ebay unless I've got funds in my ebay account from selling personal items. I do this on principle because of how ebay treats sellers. No doubt there are other ebayers who do the same.
I'm an occaisonal seller these days. When I need to buy something I put it on my watch list. If I don't have the funds in my ebay account I buy the same product or one similar elsewhere.
Ebay's latest policy of delaying payment for private sellers is frustrating, but if I need the item sooner than ebay releases my money, I'll buy the product on another platform or website. Ebay does not appear to realise they're losing custom all round by their new policies, not just with private sellers.
