Once again Simple Delivery fails. Sold an item which was a small parcel, EBay charged my customer for a
large letter. I have now got to lose money from my sale to cover postage. ( the laugh is they assure you the Courier will deliver, Royal Mail weigh these parcels. ) This sytem is bad joke that costs sellers money. Well done eBay. Lets hope another auction site starts up soon so I can leave this appalling shambles !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Note. Royal Mail has advised post offices to accept all Simple Delivery packages, as long as the parcel remains within the maximum weight and dimensions. These are 20kg and 61cm x 46cm x 46cm. You can see our FAQs for more information.
So in theory - the post office should accept a small parcel that is charged as a large letter. Accept that some post office staff may argue this - but this is what ebay state. You are supposed to be able to use the label as supplied

I have my parcels collected so don't have to argue in Post Offices. Several things I've sent since Simple Delivery came in have been over weight or size and there have been no problems.

Same here - one of the pluses of SD! (Just don't use Post Offices, unless they know how the system works.)
PS
@8and1tz you don't need to wait to leave, plenty of other places out there.
