When i did my own postage 48 hour tracked, great service. Now I am having to use Ebay Simple Postage still on a 48 hour Tracked service they are definitely NOT getting there in 48 hours. I post first thing Monday morning at a Post Office usually after listing finishing on Sunday evening. This week none of my items were delivered in 48 hours. Some arrived today Friday and still got 1 showing will be delivered tomorrow Saturday so how is that a 48 hour service. Seems Royal Mail somehow don't give Ebay bought postage the same service as people sending themselves via Post Office.
Who would you complain to?

When receiving parcels, I have also noticed time lags for some Tracked 48 items. How to tell the reason in a chaotic system is difficult. It could be so many things - Postie is off? clearing Xmas backlog causes T48 to be shunted aside? It would be interesting if you see these trends continue in 2026.

Yeah, the issues are with Royal Mail Tracked 48 in general, seems to depend on the postcode too. Sending out separately won't change things. At least with the tracking in the system, people are being pretty patient, as they are seeing movement. I have sympathy with those sellers using the standard services like second class, I gather it is a nightmare at the moment, with so many delays and claims for non-delivery from buyers.

Hi
I do not know what’s going on with Royal Mail lately, but it’s becoming really unreliable.
We are a business seller on eBay and buy labels both through eBay and directly, and we’re seeing the same issues across Tracked 24 and Tracked 48. We only use tracked services.
We drop parcels off at the Post Office twice a day, so they’re definitely entering the system, but a lot of them do not seem to get scanned at the first sorting hub.
Tracking just sits there for days, then suddenly updates later on, sometimes not until delivery.
It appears parcels are not being scanned properly at the hub, so tracking appears “stuck”
We have had a 5kg Tracked 24 parcel completely lost, and a Tracked 48 sent on 12th February that still has not arrived. This situation is now getting more frequent.
When you contact Royal Mail, they just say it is lost and to submit a claim. But then you are told it can take up to three weeks for the claim to be looked at, and by that point the parcel often turns up anyway, after you have already sent a replacement or issued a refund.
It’s costing time, money, and a lot of unnecessary hassle at the moment.
Evri is even starting to look reliable.
Best wishes
