Simple Delivery !!!

I was perfectly fine with sorting out my own deliveries now eBay are saying from April 15th Simple Delivery will be my only option !

So much change from eBay recently to every aspect of Private selling online if it’s not broken it doesn’t need fixing !!!!!

Simple Delivery !!!

I think the simple delivery option is terrible. Giving the buyer the choice means that they will 9 times out of ten opt for the cheapest which, depending on the item, is not the best choice, if they don't opt and pay for the tracked option then they can easily claim non receipt?

Together with the buyer protection fee, which I think is the private seller fee in disguise, selling on eBay is becoming less and less attractive.

After 15th April I will no longer be selling on Ebay. For a private seller only dealing in small value items, with large letter stamps on padded envelopes it's just not going to be worth it.

I've benn selling for 25 years but no longer.

Buyer protection fee what a load of balderdash it's just a stealth seller fee.

Now you 'have' to use their courier service?

It's clear ebay don't want private sellers anymore, patently clear.

Simple Delivery !!!

Just started the process of closing my account. Compulsory SD is the final straw. Not all of us have smart phones, nor have printers, nor want to stay until some random company we didn't choose arrives to collect a parcel. Walking 800m to the post office is fine, I get some exercise, get out of the house for a bit, interact with some real humans and get to do a bit of bird watching on the way.

Enforced *bleep*ification, the Ebay CEO can get stuffed!

I'd have much less of a problem if Simple Delivery was only with Royal Mail.  Yes, RM has its problems, but at least they are contactable, and can/do sort out refunds.

With eBay's decision to use/suck-up to Evri - the worst and most usesless delivery company on the entire fricking planet, as voted for in pretty much every single year, for the past decade - and this really is the final nail in the coffin for eBay private sellers.

We will NOT be forced/coerced into using such a *bleep* company, just because eBay are cosying up to them!

The choice is Evri,Royal Mail, or both

just deselect evri in your postage preferences (in browser version) or in my settings/postage on the app

apparently, for unclear reasons, ebay may sometimes still allow a buyer to chose evri even though you’ve deselected it. If this happens and

if it’s really difficult to get to an evri shop or just don’t want to use them then you could cancel order perhaps

You said: "if it’s really difficult to get to an evri shop or just don’t want to use them then you could cancel order perhaps".

I shouldn't be having to do that!  Sorry, but this is just going to drive people away from eBay permanently, because eBay is actively discouraging private sellers from selling on here.  It's just not worth the hassles!  I don't want to be forced into using EvriParcelNicked nor giving my customers that joke of a company the option to use them either!

Every week, there's some new hare-brained scheme eBay come up with that gets foistered upon us, but Simple Delivey - which isn't - is a farce in-and-of-itself!
