Simple Delivery - what's point of selecting service if SD overrides anyway?

When listing an item, the postage section allows you choose what postal service you will be using, in your postage policy. For example, because I have always sent with 2nd Class Standard, I choose that.

However, underneath this section it states 'Simple Delivery will override your postage policy' - as if to say it's pointless what you choose, we're going to override it with our label anyway.

It seems to be that Tracked 48 is the default label I am getting from SD, so what is the point behind choosing a service at point of listing if you SD is going to give its label of choice anyway?

Very 'wude' innit!  Make sure you have the option for Royal Mail in your account preferences set as well as on each of your adverts.

I am in the same position - will only use RM (mainly because the PO is on my way to/from work).  I am not sure what I will do if they change my posting option to Evri which my PO can't accept as it's a satellite PO in a small convenience store.

I am postponing relisting my items until Not-So-Simple-Delivery problems have reduced.
