Simple Delivery seems too restrictive

Prior to Simple Delivery if I was offering free postage I would select Royal Mail tracked and chose the option for home collection, otherwise I have to drive 15 minutes to my nearest post office. It appears that I no longer have the option to choose which of my two preferences (Royal Mail and Evri) I wish to use and I can no longer choose a home collection as it is all automated.  Not so simple it seems!  Is anyone else having this problem and is there a way around this? I'm also concerned about the weight going over the selected choice at listing because it is not yet packaged and the packaging may take it over the weight selected. What happens in this instance?

Simple Delivery seems too restrictive

Hi @sam093376 ,

Thank you for your post.

There is a collection option for Royal Mail with Simple Delivery. Please see the below

With regards to the package size. If you use the recommended parcel size and your item exceeds the maximum size and weight of the label, you won’t be charged any additional costs. Just go ahead and use the Simple Delivery postage label. The courier will accept your package providing it remains within the maximum weight and dimensions for the service.

Thank you,

Kat

Switch Evri off.  If the item sells you'll be able to arrange a Royal Mail collection and they'll now even bring the label.

If the e-Bay estimate of size/weight is wrong they'll still honour the price.

It is simple when you work out how to use it.
