You have to laugh if nothing else.
I purchase postage through eBay and normally post in a Royal Mail collection box however I know the staff in my local sorting office having previously had a RM business account.
On Wed 9th July I had 3 orders ready to go in the morning so thought I would take them early and dropped them off at my local sorting office just after they opened at 8. I handed my 3 packages in and the female and I chatted for a few minutes as I know her from my days dropping off business mail.
10 or so days later, my 3 buyers from these 3 packages all contacted me having not received their items. I went back to the sorting office to get them to check the tracking numbers and they tell me there is no information. In other words they forgot to scan them.
I therefore claimed each one via RM claims and they have rejected each one saying "the item has not yet been posted"
I sent them proof of postage, my costings etc as they request and do they honestly think I would buy postage and then not bother to post! Needless to say I have appealed.
Fortunately my 3 buyers were all brilliant and understanding and I had stock to resend all these items.
Will be interesting to see how the appeal goes but honestly their customer service is appalling.

" ... but honestly their customer service is appalling."

They weren't when I had the misfortune of speaking to them, but that was a few years ago - I still bear the scar!
