I’m posting an item but noticed it’s with Evri delivery and it’s going to the Isle of Wight. Is thisok? Everything I’ve sold so far as been in the UK. Thanks

Yes, Evri does deliver to the Isle of Wight (which is in the UK).  Normally Evri would charge extra for delivery there but if it is being sent with Simple Delivery, which it appears to be, then that doesn't apply as it is covered by the contract between eBay and Evri.

Re: Posting

The Isle of Wight is in the UK but Evri do charge more for outlying areas including IoW.

Explain the issue to the buyer and then cancel/refund the transaction with their agreement (via the dropdown menu arrow for the item on your orders list).   Opt out of Evri on here:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/ship/prf

Then relist with Royal Mail postage (who charge the same for everwhere in the UK) for the buyer to buy and pay again.

It looks like the item is being sent with Simple Delivery so there won't be any additional charges as that is covered by the contract between eBay and Evri.  No need for the OP to cancel the order.

Hi, yes, you're right.    But we still hear stories of buyers being charged more or parcels being returned so personally I would probably cancel and relist to be on the safe side.

Should be ok - eBay's Simple Delivery, despite teething problems, is now established plus you have eBay's seller protections.

The Isle of Wight is in the UK. In Evri's remote/extra-cost areas there's a location charge of £2.75 for certain IoW postcodes, including PO30-PO33 and PO35-PO41; but no location charge when sending/delivery are in the same postcode group. Any charge would be incorporated into the postage charge so buyer doesn't see a breakdown.

Expect at least an extra day's delivery time. I couldn't find an Evri page re 'mainland UK to IoW' but they say on their UK site that Standard delivery takes 2–4 days (in practice we all know it's 3-5 days), and they say that some locations take longer as they involve ferries or being further from depots.

Delivery shouldn't take more than 7 days as that's what Evri says are delivery times internationally; I mention it as I'm confused as you've got "international postage" as a label under your original post as if you're sending to the IoW from outside the UK.

I send to the IoW, PO36, quite often. My IoW recipient says RM is the most reliable and quicker, says Evri delays when they occured were up to 3 days. I don't use Evri as I've a post office near me (and it's someone's home, you sit to do business, usually no queue). Ferries routinely carrying mail/parcels (Wightlink, Red Funnel originally Royal Mail Steam Packet Company) do 100-170 crossings per day. Wightlink is 24/7 but mail is mainly daytime. Red Funnel 365/24/7. Hover Fast Freight, an RM-partner since 1978, up to 60 crossings per day 362/24/7. With all those crossings I suspect the extra delivery day is a relic and unnecessary these days. And RM and Evri could consider timing operations to coincide with certain ferry arrivals to increase efficiency.
