Out of half a dozen items I've purchased postage for today, I have one item which has increased from £2.94 to over £5, seemingly without rhyme or reason.
The item isn't any larger or heavier than other items I've purchased postage for today, and the only one which has changed in price from the option I selected when listing the item.
If I select the new postage I'll be making a significant loss on the sale.
Any ideas on how to change back to the previously selected postage?

@michaelsilverfox2011 I'd go with my earlier suggestion if you can. Noting the subsequent comments (since I posted), this happens even when you select buyer pays. eBay just quotes incorrect (mainland only) rates unless you go RM only (which isn't always viable for mainland sales). Buyer purchases and is charged the quoted rate, but then you can't print the label without paying the shortfall. I've not had that problem since I limited to mainland only and included the option to contact me for non-mainland sales. Everything sold, including to non-mainland. Just a bit of admin to close the remote sales.

Everyone except RM. RM have a universal service obligation. They have to charge the same everywhere in the UK, so prices too high for mainland and lower for remote. Couriers can differentiate.

I believe that would be the case, yes

You’re responding to a problem that was posted 18 months ago. EBay has changed significantly since then.
thanks for the most unhelpful comment on this thread, ever.
