New format - issues with postage options

When listing a new item, the postage format seems to have changed. I can now no longer add a second postage option. Also if I go in and revise an item, all the postage options are removed and I have to reset them. It’s VERY frustrating. The only time I can add a second postage option is on my existing listing that were made when it was the old format. I have reported it to eBay and they said they have reported it to their IT team but that I am apparently the only person to have reported these issues. Am I alone, or has anyone else experienced this. If so, do you have a solution for me to try?

Thank you for reporting this. Something's gone wrong and it isn't just the listing tool. My list of postage policies at https://www.bizpolicy.ebay.com/businesspolicy/manage is gone, and I had spent time getting it right after the last time they changed the listing tool. And they call it "exciting improvements"!

Sorry I don't have a solution for you, except play around with the new tool until it works or doesn't.

Sometimes eBay do listen when people report things!

The listing tool now shows my postage policies. Is it working for you too?

The list of postage policies is now at https://www.ebay.co.uk/bp/manage?profileType=SHIPPING&sortType=-listingCount&_pgn=1&limit=25

No, unfortunately it still isn't resolved for me. So are you able to offer a second postage option?

Yes, by using one of my existing postage policies which eBay restored or by making a new policy at https://www.ebay.co.uk/bp/ship/create

Looks like you are on the manged postage where ebay dictate to you what postage to use.

All private accounts will be on this eventually.

Simple delivery its called

New format - issues with postage options

I do have the option to select “simple delivery” but I also still have all the other postage options to choose from. I do this and edit the price because I incorporate my packaging costs into this as well. I just am unable to add a second option. EBay just keep saying to me that I should be able to and it’s with their tech team. However I have had a another issue since January that is also apparently STILL with their tech team (if I list an item using the ‘scheduled’ option I do not receive an email confirming the item is listed).

I'm having this issue now too. My old listing's pre October 2024 I'm able to have 2 domestic delivery options but any new listing's it doesn't seem to allow it. Even after creating a postage policy and adding it that way, it only adds the first postage method on the policy.

I'm having the same problem today.  I'm on Android OS14.  Only 1 option being shown with no measurement or weight options. When I go I to delivery to select couriers & sizes there's nothing there just a blank page. Very frustrating.

New format - issues with postage options

I am a fairly new private seller, and it took me ages to work out how the postage costs worked. Having done that, I have just sold an item and the postage cost has been set too low (it seems by ebay) and I have to find a way of ditching the label that the purchaser paid for (Royal Mail) and trying to get a new label for the next parcel size up.  How do I do this? I can't post the parcel with the label I have downloaded, but the buyer says the postage was included in the price he paid, but I know that price was somehow changed (large, lightweight item). Any advice on how I resolve this please?

Although I can't help you with this, to avoid it happening again go to https://www.ebay.co.uk/bp/ship/create and choose your postage options yourself. Measure your items, weigh them, and remember to include the width of bubble wrap etc. if your items are fragile.

New format - issues with postage options

Hi all, I think I fixed it by using a browser instead of the app to create a few listing and set up a "delivery  policy'. ThenI deleted and reinstalling the app.

To me it looked like it was a loading issue. So the delivery options were taking too long or something obstructed them from completely loading.

Hi.  I have the same issue. You are not alone.  I will report, but in the  meantime I have a package to send to a buyer and they have bought the ebay label with insufficient postage. I am purchasing a new label outwith ebay and will take the hit on the extra cost.

Snap! I spent a while getting my postage sorted, and ensuring all my postage costs reflected the weight and size of the items. All gone, and the postage option given is no use for my items, and I can't add options. Very frustrating, and not good from a buyer perspective either.

No, it's not.  I have the wrong postage options listed and can't add postage to one item that is now listed as collection only.  Trying to edit tells me that changing this will affect the whole listing.  I think that I am going to have to take down all my listings and redo them.  I was happy with the old system that allowed to select the postage rate and a couple of carriers.

Sadly, I had done all of that with each individual item and tailored the postage cost according the weight and parcel size.  Those listings seem to have been re-set by ebay to the smallest and cheapest parcel, and only offering one carrier. Hence a buyer was only able to buy a label below the postage rate that I had stated on the listing originally.

I'll try that. Thanks.

New format - issues with postage options

They seem to have removed the cheapest postage options as well. I get that tracking & insurance is a good idea, but on very cheap items, postage and buyer protection alone is more than some items are worth. I'm sitting on a pile of stamps, RM keeps loosing stuff and giving out stamps as compensation. On things like a £2 trading card it's worth while to risk the loss/scam and just chuck a 1st class stamp on the thing. Also no real need to put myself out by going to the post office.

Apparantly you can go to the post office and pay them to add stamps to correct the postage. I have never tried this myself.

Hi all.  It isn't fixed. It's an ongoing app issue.  You go to list. You click edit return options & the page is blank & never loads. Only option is doing it on the website which takes much longer. I had 60 drafts & only listed 5 because it's so frustrating. They're losing thousands of sellers who are now choosing better platforms. Such a shame as I've been loyal for almost 20 years. They simply do not care. So reinstall but it won't work in the longterm as there's no fix yet. .
