International Postal operators online customs forms for USA

I'm one of a large number of EBay sellers who list on different Ebay sites. That decision is partly due to that there is no specific site for my country, but also some items are simply going to have a larger interest group in different countries, and it's a good way to reach them in concentration. For example, I occasionally sell collectible knives, so I have to avoid the UK entirely but listing on Ebay Germany or  Ebay USA are wide open.

So, here is a screenshot of the current online postage form for Swedish Post, all options for reason for shipment to the USA have been removed with the exception of gifts and documents.  Missing for the USA are returns, for repair, sold item etc.  I am not shipping anything, this is just a "trial" to see how they are stopping shipments to the USA, as practically everyone is right now.

One post per country only please!  This is from SWEDEN. What does a USA shipping attempt from YOUR country look like? If there is an option to switch to english, please do.

And the UK Post Office also said yesterday that DPD and EVRI never stopped.

By "the UK Post Office", do you mean Royal Mail, and that they published something mentioning EVRI?  Or some bloke at the post office said that?   That sounds a bit odd, like they're recommending EVRI, their competitor.

Re: International Postal operators online customs forms for USA

Royal Mail from the UK is now offering a DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) service to the USA to conform with the latest tarrifs and procedures. The duty is calculated by RM based on the declared value and country of origin, and paid by the sender including a 50p handling charge. Sellers can include the extra costs in their shipping charge for the USA. Presumably other countries' postal services will soon offer something similar, if they don't already.

Re: International Postal operators online customs forms for USA

Thanks davrman. 50p is reasonable, hopefully that will be standard once others have a system in place.  I posted this elsewhere as well, but here is a screenshot of a test I just made, it's of returning a £100 US made item to the USA from GB using Royal Mail.  No tariffs and only that small 50p handling charge you mentioned.  It appears  "safe" to sell a US made item to the USA, or return a defective item to the US seller.
