EBay handle everything, all you do is ship at no cost to you. There is even an option for collection of bulky items from your door.

You are now covered in the event of the item being lost or damaged in transit.

What’s so bad about it guys please let me know?

I know this is going to trigger some people, but for me this is one of the best things eBay have done.

Now buyer protection fee on the other hand… Let’s not go there…

It’s my suspicion.. Well let’s face it, it’s fact that’s lot of people were using postage as a way of squeezing extra cash out of buyers, perhaps to cover postage costs? Buying tape parcels ect?

Not sure I agree with you on buyer protection..  There was a spell when there was no selling fees or buyer protection. That was great. Now you really have to factor in buyer protection to the price. There already was buyer protection for us all buddy. And there still is..  It’s called the money back guarantee. 😊 Btw I did say “ let’s not go there “ 🤣

I for one agree with you.

For all that there's a lot of moaning about it on here it's sadly always the case that people are much more inclined to complain than praise.  The NUMBER of complaints is irrelevant; it's the PROPORTION of customers who are un-happy that counts.  It's also distorted by the same people repeatedly banging-on about it.

The addition of DHL for bulky items is quite recent so there were problems with such things until then. It's still not great as the longest thing you can send is still 120cm (just under four feet) the same as Evri but they can be bigger overall and/or heavier.

It also doesn't suit people who mainly sell very small things of little value (postcards, old stamps &c) as the cost of a Tracked 48 Large Letter is over-kill both in terms of size and the compensation cover — they'd prefer to send such things by normal post for a lower cost and if they getting lost or damaged have to refund the Buyer and try to get compensation out of the carrier.

As with any change there are winners and losers and I am certainly a winner as most of the things I sell are Small or Medium Parcel size.

The key is to read the information available.  Sadly a lot of people seem to have not bothered to or have and failed to understand it.  Then there are those who think they know better or find it literally-unbeleivably simple and just can't grasp how it works.

I don't object to the Buyer Protection Fee either.  Not paying Seller Fees means I list things for what I want rather than what I want plus the fees making the price lower even WITH the BPF as Seller Fees included a cut of the postage charge as well as the item price.  As a Buyer the amount is so trivial that it isn't worth bothering about; besides which I know what I'm happy to pay for something and don't care how it's divvied-up between item price, postage and any other charges.
