Ebay combing items to break postage rules

I have just sold two almost identical items on ebay to the same buyer.

Ebay have now combined these for postage and so exceed the weight limits for the delivery ( that was selected for one item). Clearly they have created an opportunity to levy charges which are not published - does anyone know how much I am going to get stung for ?

does anyone jnow how I can separate these items for postage as I didn't ask for them to be combined ?

You offer free postage/seller pays so you can send the items however you like and claim the Simple Delivery price back from Ebay.

It looks as if the two items could be sent together as a Royal Mail small parcel - the cost of their 48 hour tracked service is not extortionate.

Unfortunately I was choosing a service for 2 separate parcels so I
preselected Evri - so their limits are broken now that Ebay have combined
the items
