Rejected from machine at outward MC ...

a first for me !

item scanned ok to enter RM's system at post office 

weight and measure are ok within parcels ebay booking

btw RM tracking direct says item received .. nothing else 

is this one of ebay's glitch modes .. plenty of them over the years !

i`ve had 3 of these i think this year so far, but by end of day or certainly next day, it`s always corrected and gets delivered anyway. Not sure if it`s an issue with machines reading bar-codes or postcodes etc, but i just ignore them now when they pop up, as long as i get my item 🙂

I had this happen to me today ....a buyer messaged me to say the parcel hadn't arrived and it had been rejected twice by MC....It's never happened to me before ...very odd because the first time I checked the tracking ,I found the same message ....then checked again later and re message had been wiped ! Not sure what to do next .

My situation self sorted without any prompting , just took a bit longer
than normal for deliveery, it was either not reading the barecode so hand
sorted or their is a glitch ibn the system .. ... hold tight it should
turn up

Hopefully my problem will be sorted too ......I visited my local parcel office today ....they were able to tell me the machine have rejected my parcel (!) and it was being processed manually ,please be patient .Thanks for your input ,I was a little concerned .

I ordered an item earlier this week and it's estimated delivery to my pickup point was yesterday. eBay tracking says rejected from outward MC on Monday, have messaged the seller to see if they can find out what's going on, reading this thread as given me a bit more confidence I still will receive my parcel eventually

Thanks for all the comments these are helpful. I am having the same problem, good to hear it will be resolved in time. I think the CEO of Royal Mail and Ebay should get off their BS and start resolving some of these very childish and silly issues.

I posted my parcel on 3/11 ..it did arrive on 22/11 ,I was relieved but not best pleased with the service ,I was just on the point of claiming for compensation .

this is second time.

Claims are pointless.

i made the claim- they kept somewhere for 2 months and returned to me.

so i lost money for posting.

i had to refund to the buyer all sum (1 months! obviously!)

no compensation

they just closed the case like all is good

wondering if it still will arrive by the arrive by date? My package said it was rejected but I really need this thing on the day its supposed to arrive and it still says 'estimated for 30th' and 'arrives by 30th'

How long has it been in the post? How many times has it been rejected ?
Recently a parcel to me was rejected three times, but it did arrive. Some
have been rejected up to five times.
Not sure who is responsible for the problem ebay or Royal
Mail. Apparently it appears that the postage labels you can print out from
ebay, the barcodes are causing issues for the Royal Mail scanner (the
scanner can not read them). Unfortunately it appears that the Royal Mail
officers just keep trying the scanner and sometimes it's a while before
they can logically work out there is an issue and do it manually.
Sorry, the only positive I can say is that my parcels did arrive and I hope
yours arrives with you soon.

Hi there, it just says ’ITEM ADVISED’ and then ’rejected by machine at outward mc’ - nothing about royal mail yet. It has been 2 days and the message hasnt changed yet. It was 3 day shipping so i dont know whether it will come today or not.

I've had one in this state since 03/01/2024 and still waiting for updates or a delivery

I've now got 3 like this.  It's ridiculous, all small parcels.  I will no longer use ebay postage for this size parcel if it going to keep happening. 

I have read that some get delivered and some get returned to sender but it takes weeks.

Hi,
Sorry this issue is not getting resolved and seems to be getting worse.
Just had a message about one person waiting 5 weeks. A lot longer than I
waited. The only positive I can say is that mine arrived eventually.
Keep in touch with the seller, some are being returned to the seller too.

Thank you for the update. Just had a message that some are being delayed up
to 5 weeks. Strange decision by Royal Mail to send them back to the seller,
if the scanner is not working they only need to send them manually to the
purchaser.
