Despatch of Large item

I have a listing for Skis and the package will be about 2m and say 25cm x 15cm around girth. The size is outside the limits offered on ebay for Parcelforce, the only carrier provided. According to Parcelforce website they can take the size and weight of the skis.

Questions:

1. Are there ways of finding more ebay dispatch options?

2. If I dispatch independently i.e. not through ebay, how do I make sure I get my payment if ebay are unaware of the delivery to the seller?

Despatch of Large item

@will_6370 At the moment you can independently dispatch using the Post office direct ( unless you have ticked the box for simple delivery?) Package your ski's, take it to the post office,  and get the correct weight and measurements done by the professionals who can advise you on the best carrier and price...( ensure you have included the correct postal fee in your listing )...Pay for a tracked service and upload the tracking number to the system on eBay ( found on the orders page when sold) once dispatched. Your funds will be available usually the next day after the purchaser has paid...  it  really is that " simple"... 😉

Once  " Simple Delivery" comes into play "permanently " your option to independently choose your postal service for your item, will be gone!

Once " funds held" come into play... you will be able to withdraw your funds AFTER 48 hrs( tracked) to 14 days ( untracked)  of " confirmed successful delivery"

Edit.. spelling and funds info.
