Twice now we have had total failure by DHL to collect despite repeated emails from them with time slots - we are wasting a lot of time staying in (fortunately retired) and have had buyers waiting while we give up and use Evri instead - incidentally cheaper.
(I understand the procedure for claiming DHL costs back via ebay.)
ebay say they are adding other carriers to Simple Delivery but no apparent sign of it actually happening.
A particular frustration is that there are a number of local DHL dropoff points but they won't accept DHL Ecommerce packages.
I heard on the grapevine from a good source that one DHL subcontractor covering this area had crashed and was not insured - although I appreciate it's a busy time of year that rather suggests a lack of due diligence?
Come on ebay - sort it out because I am not selling any more large/heavy items via ebay until you do!
