Anyone using Amazon Logistics for eBay orders? Is their tracking accepted?

Hi everyone,

I’m thinking of switching from Evri to Amazon Logistics for fulfilling my eBay orders. Evri’s recent price increases and added surcharges are making it harder to stay competitive, and their service hasn’t been great lately either.

Before I make the switch, I’d like to know:

  • Is Amazon’s tracking accepted by eBay as valid proof of delivery?

  • Does their tracking count towards eBay’s delivery metrics and INR protection?

Would really appreciate any feedback or experience from sellers who have already tried this.

Thanks,
Ed

Re: Anyone using Amazon Logistics for eBay orders? Is their tracking accepted?

Hi Ed

We have used Amazon logistics to have some of our items delivered and we have never had any issues 🤞 with them and so far, everything has been delivered on time.

We are not sure how you stock your items i.e. physically in your possession or stocked at Amazon, but this is how it has been working for us.

Some of our stock is in Amazon warehouses and listed on both channels so when we sell an item on eBay, we simply go to our Amazon seller central and create an MCF (Multi Channel Fulfilment) order.

Simply fill in the customer details (always check the address first as eBay customers don’t always give a full address), add your email so you can be notified when it is dispatched, enter the customer mobile number so they can track the item as well and lastly your order number (we use the eBay order number).

Select your shipping time (standard or expedited) and that is it.

You will get an email from Amazon when it is dispatched along with the tracking number which you can then update in eBay.

As far as we can see the tracking is proof of delivery because when you update the tracking on your customers order you enter the tracking number then the carrier, when you check that tracking number in eBay it will show as delivered once it has been.

Yes, it does also count towards metrics and INR protection.

The only niggle is that is you choose standard delivery and say place an MCF order after lunchtime (1pm) we noticed our items were shipped the following day meaning we had to manually mark the item as dispatched on eBay then go back to the order the following day once we had received the tracking number.

The expedited delivery (quickest) was the best option for us as it was sent out the same day and we could update the tracking before the end of play so to speak, It cost more obviously but it was worth it.

Hope this helps.

Claire.
