This is with 3-day handling time and customer selecting 2nd class.
Spoke to eBay CS, and they said if I post on the 19th the customer could get it on the 19th with Royal Mail 2nd class so all is working fine.
When I pointed out it actually gives a first expected date of the day before posting, they could still not see anything wrong.
Is there a new Royal Mail 2nd class service I am unaware of ?

Thank you for the reply.
It's actually on my business account and all listings are affected.
It has been like this for some time causing bad feelings for customers.
I have just altered all listings to 4 day handling time to try and stop the angry messages.
Now customers are told to expect items 2 days before I dispatch !

I do usually post next day after purchase so will go to the post office on the 18th.
2nd class was selected so there is no way they will get it on the 19th.
I will no doubt be inundated with with messages again, asking where their items are and cases will be opened after the 22nd asking for a refund.

I am having the same problem, 3 day despatch and it is showing the buyer delivery the day before I despatch up one day after I despatch on a 2nd class delivery. I am at present in a heated (on the buyers side) discussion because they want the item delivered by Wednesday this week, which is the same day I am due to despatch the personalised item and am wondering whether or not just to cancel the order because I am already close to the limit with late deliveries. Like you I try and get everything out the day after purchase but buyers don't see it and keep giving late delivery marks.

Perhaps you could check Item Number:- 256824319371
It was sold on Saturday 01/03/2025, buyer paid today 04/03/2025.
The dispatch is due by 10/03/2025, but estimated delivery date is shown as 6th March to 11th March.
Similarly, all my other items awaiting dispatch are also affected.

We have the same but have 2 day dispatch. Sick of the glitchy site, it's moronic customer service and the buyers it attracts with unrealistic expectations. All listings being pulled end of the tax year and fully retiring. Any stock left over will more than likely be given to charity. Good luck to anyone staying - you'll need it 🙂
