I am a householder and not a business trader. Owing to mobility issues, I rely on the Royal Mail collection service to collect from my home and deliver items I sell. Within the last 24-48 hours I am no longer seeing options for ANY collection services from ANY courier. This is understandably causing me concern. Is there a workround for this? I don't really want to go through the RM website as I find it helpful to be able to use my eBay funds to pay for postage and have everything together on my monthly statements.

Yes, that's exactly how it works. You use the tracking number from your eBay label to book a free collection on the Royal Mail web site (see link in the answer above).

You need to opt out of ebay's new Simple Delivery during the listing or revising process. Look for the postage options icon on the right of the postage section. Then you should be able to add what postage you want.
If you buy postage outside of ebay remember to mark dispatched and add tracking manually via the dropdown menu arrow for the item on your orders page.

thank you. I did that but none of the options include collection from my house any more. Do you have any more ideas to resolve this?

Use relist or sell similar from one of your previous items that had the option you want. And just change all the details before submitting.

You can book a free collection for Royal Mail services from the company's web site, even if you buy them via eBay.

thank you. I'll try that. But when the item sells, the RM collection option won't be there for me to choose will it?? I can see how this will work for the listing, but not as an option when I organise the post and packing. Maybe I'm missing something...

thanks for trying to help, but I don't understand your answer. Surely if I can only purchase RM drop off via eBay then I can't then go to the RM website and somehow turn that drop off into a collection?
Can you explain it in another way please?

On the Royal Mail site you can go to collection only just scan the barcode in.
