Why is money disappearing from my eBay account?

The other day I withdrew £250 from my eBay account, leaving £20.30 in it.  Then, somewhat unexpectedly (statistically - I usually only have a couple of sales a month) I had another good sale, for which the buyer paid £240 including postage and buyer fees. After the buyer protection fee (£9.89), shipping label (£3.42), and Ad Fee General (£11.04) I was due to receive £215.65 into my eBay account. Today I received it, but my eBay balance is now only £195.29 when it should now read as £235.95. So where is my missing £40.66? I cannot find any details of any extra charges. Is eBay demonstrating a lack of transparency or is this an error? To be honest there have been other occasions when I thought small amounts of money had disappeared from my eBay account without explanation, but now I know it is really happening.

Why is money disappearing from my eBay account?

So difficult for us to give you an accurate answer having no access to your account, but use the link below to see your transactions,  the breakdown and any postage / fees paid.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/sh/fin/transactions

If there are any discrepancies,  there has been a recent tech issue with wrongly adding fees to revising listing,  if this is the case contact eBay Customer Services,  they do have access to your account,  and if can see any fees wrongly attributed can issue a refund.

This is the easiest and quickest way to contact eBay Customer Services, for a Call Back option.

Lines open 8 a.m. - 10 p.m. on weekdays

9 a.m. - 6 p.m. on weekends.

Automated agents will be available on chat outside of the above hours.

I recommend contacting CS first thing in the morning as there's more chance of Dublin answering.

Thanks for your reply. I had already looked at my list of transactions and there are none for £40.66. I will contact CS. I just wondered if I was missing something obvious, but it seems not.
