Hi,
I need some help and was hoping somebody can assist.
I've been an ebay seller for over 2 years now in this capacity (longer in previous business), in June 2024 ebay messaged saying my acount has been restricted due to;
- The bank account name for payouts does not match the bank account name for selling costs.
This is correct, there is an error in these, however I am unable to amend them.
The bank account details are the same for these as its the same bank account but there is an error with the bank name on the payouts.
I have spoke to the customer service people on the phone many times and am told no amendments can be made due to the restriction and they can only send an email to the restrictions department.
Following the call I should receive an email within 72hours from the restrictions department to resolve the issue.
However I never receive this email and every time I contct them they just repeat this process and say its all that can happen. So the restrictions team seem to be the only people who can resolve this, but are not doing their job to help resolve it.
Now I have several thousands sat in an ebay account and am unable to get this transferred to my bank account, what do I do?

Having never been in this situation myself I have no first-hand experience to draw upon, but I've been doing a bit of checking online to see if I could find a suitable answer and the search results returned the following:
If that doesn't work, and if you can truthfully say that you don't owe eBay any money for anything, then it may be worth contacting the police about the matter. There is no guarantee that they will actually bother to do anything about it, but should they decide to get involved and start making enquiries with eBay then it may end up with eBay relinquishing the hold on your money so as to avoid being investigated further as to why they are holding onto your money without your consent.

I was taking a look there for you, and I see no restrictions on your account at the moment, and I can see you are receiving your payouts as well. So, I presume this was resolved for you already. However, if you need anything else, please let us know.
