Postage - as a seller, do I now have to pay it myself in advance?

A scenario this afternoon: I want to sell some rare vinyl that I'm expecting to go for £40-100 with international appeal. It will obviously need to go tracked and insured. Do I need to find the postage money up front, and then get the payment after the goods arrive? I'm selling because I don't have £££ coming in at the moment and am maxed out on credit.

If the funds are on hold starting today 4th February... then payment will go to " pending funds" ...you can apparently access " pending funds" to pay for eBay postal labels and/or send refunds. I am assuming this is the same if you use the GSP. ( Global selling programme)

the funds even for postage will not be in your usable funds until the item has been delivered . i changed to a business account yesterday under the understanding that te money would be available to use in 1 to 2 days like they state but sales from last night and today are still marked as funds available when delivered . i am still hoping there is a delay how my account works but for now it does not look like i would get the money any faster .

Hang on for now i should. I always buy postage and pack before midnight when the days funds go in anyway, but last night the pending went in as usual as if nothing had changed. I have sold 1 thing today which is pending and will check if it goes in by midnight again. Yes international tracked and insured is expensive and i'm not sure how long you would have to wait. UK tracked and insured will be in your account within 2 days they say but international i really don't know. But even if mine hasn't changed other people's might. It's such a mess and confusion right now nobody really knows what is going on

I think providing you buy your postage for your buyer's item through eBay they will let you pay for it using your buyer's pending funds but the catch is you have to buy postage via eBay only at an slightly inflated rate...

I might buy from Ebay with parcels because RM can collect but they won't collect everything including letters unless i buy from their website so i'm sticking with that rather than struggle to a post box.

Pending funds can be used to purchase eBay Postage labels and/or refunds... but the remainder balance is not released until 48 hrs after confirmed successful delivery  for tracked or 14 days if untracked or 24hrs if the buyer leaves positive feedback.  @maarsy
