Payments on Hold

I'm a business seller and have been selling on eBay for over 10 years, I sell low value items, so most items are sent standard mail, without a tracking number. I have been doing this for over 10 years without issues.

On the 16th of June, eBay has decided to hold all my funds for future transactions.

It's the 2nd of July, and several buyers have confirmed delivery for items purchased after the 16th of June, stated they are very happy with the items and left positive feedback, yet my funds haven't been released.

For example, a sale I made on the 16th, funds have been held, buyer has confirmed delivery, happy with the item, positive feedback, yet my money is only going to be released on the 9th of August, and this is only an estimation.

Any one else in the same situation?

Have you called customer service and asked if your account is under review?

I've spoke to an agent on the customer service chat, they say it's a new policy rolling out for all accounts, but from what I've read on other posts, it actually isn't.

I've now emailed them and waiting for a response.

i have same issue 

i have 1000+ listings  i have vat code i pay taxes

all of my payouts are on hold for almost 2 months, i cant keep covering all of the shipments and pay vat out of my pocket. im considering closing seller account and just dump out whole inventory.

Neither you nor the OP are UK based sellers.

It may be that Ebay has changed its policy for Europe but not in the UK and you are posting on the UK boards.

i dont undertand i became buisness seller at 2023 but one day all payments has to go on hold,

i'm struggling to cover shiping costs, all labels have to be pre paid before shiping out items

aditionaly, i have to pay vat on items that i sell , but ebay holds funds for almost 2 months after item sells.

most of my clients are based on africa, columbia, mexico. tracking systems are not developed to level as in europe.

Most of the people who respond in here will be from the UK.

As far as I know, payment holds for business sellers have not been introduced here yet.

Your best move is to contact Ebay directly to discuss this issue with them.
